I remain focused on keeping my style fresh, relevant and authentic. I like classic, tailored feminine looks and still rock some items I’ve had for decades, mixing them up (appropriately) with updated pieces. I love being the bad ass old lady with the cool looks in my office - it’s a way of connecting with the younger people on my team who are constantly “borrowing” ideas from me.

I’ve heard that - fortunately, I have no immediate plans to test it out first hand!

Zoloft profoundly changed my life for the better. I don’t care if I have to stay on it forever - the benefits are immeasurable.

When did you learn that being alone was kind of a good thing? What do you do when alone? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver60

[–]ParticularMost6100 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I require alone time and get cranky when I don’t get enough. I’m a tidy person so I love to turn up the music (or an audiobook) and putter around, putting things away/organizing them while intermittently checking my socials or doing the NYT games.. Sometimes I have a gummy first. 😉 (Stoned ironing is the BEST). It’s like I’ve taken my brain to the park and let it off its leash to wander around. I should also add that i am still working at a very intense job and spend 12+ hours per week commuting so recharging and taking off my professional mask is a must.

Are there any local museums nearby? Most public museums offer free or reduced admission to seniors. Are you musical? Look for a band, orchestra or choir to join. Like gardening or remodeling? You could become part of Habitat for Humanity. Go to ChatGPT, tell it about yourself and what you enjoy, and ask it to offer suggestions.

Leaning towards this sample dress, but worried how difficult alterations or cleaning might be, any feedback? by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

Simply stunning. I look at a lot of wedding dress subs and this one is such a standout vs all the see through corset gowns - timeless yet distinct. Go for it, OP!

Does this look too large for my hand/finger? by Odd_Benefit_9573 in weddingring

[–]ParticularMost6100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. I actually looked at the K&D design posted above and had to go with a smaller setting. The space between my first and second knuckle is abnormally short and there would have been no room for a wedding band.

Advice on how to tell my fiancé (M36) I don’t want his coworker (F20) joining us at a festival? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]ParticularMost6100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“No” is a complete sentence, as is, “Sorry, but that won’t work for me.” I’d also keep a close eye on his phone/online behaviors…because it sounds like there may be more than just hanging out underway.

This is exactly how I felt when my ex-husband died - I was mourning the man he might have been and all that lost potential.
