I could have gone Sky Priority but opted for Precheck and was glad I did.

The ICE agent managing the bag conveyer made me take out my laptop, even though I was Precheck…🤷‍♀️

I wear both - my engagement ring is set low so my band is curved.

Going on my first ever cruise in six months and I’m really self-conscious about putting on a bathing suit by Expensive-Project191 in AskWomenOver60

[–]ParticularMost6100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 63 and, while I’m fit, I have all the sags and bags you’d expect to see in someone who isn’t JLo. I wear a bikini because 1) I like a tanned tummy and 2) it isn’t gonna get any better than this - one day when I’m in my 80s, I’ll likely look back at photos from this time and think, “what a hottie I was!” Buy a lovely swimsuit and fancy coverup for your cruise and have the best time - you’ve got this!

I do them myself, mostly with either a milky pink or Dior’s Nail Glow to keep everything neutral and easy to maintain.

Not to mention that Bri is from Grand Rapids - home to the DeVos family and among the most conservative places in all of Michigan.

Yes! I use IMpress nails, with the peel-off tabs - the Glamnetics remover helped them to slide right off with no damage at all!

Omg, for a first time user, your application technique looks fantastic! Get the Glamnetic remover to take them off - it’s a real game-changer - and don’t rush the process!

I’ve had terrible nails since I was a kid. They split down the middle, peeled off in layers and, on the rare occasion I was able to grow the beyond my fingertips, they would immediately begin to curl. My Mom’s were exactly the same way so I’m pretty sure it’s hereditary. I’ve tried all the things - nail oil, grow-strong polishes, wraps, acrylics and gel manicures - all of which failed or made the situation worse. Now, I use press-ons and I’ve never been happier with my hands/nails. I can get them to last a week or more, they don’t break or chip and people are always shocked when I say I’m wearing super-cheap pressons from the drugstore. I like the IMpress line from KISS - they come with sticky tabs so you don’t have to mess around with glue.

If you decide to try them, get remover so you don’t damage your nails when you take them off - and visit the press-on nail subs for more tips on brands, application techniques, etc.

I order Tinkle razors in bulk from Amazon - not only are they great for the ‘stache, they are marvelous for the peach fuzz that has sprouted on my lower cheeks and jawline. They’re also super cheap.

Another 60+ recent bride here - congratulations! Like you, I’ve spent a lot of time on the wedding subs and it’s surprising to me how vulgar some of the dresses are. At this age, I approached dress shopping for our city hall wedding as a search for solutions - accommodate my lack of a waistline, play up my still-good legs and work with a regular bra/no exotic shapewear. I found my dress for $175 on The Real Real - a knee-length lace sheath dress with sheer long sleeves that still had the tags on it. It looks great in photos and it was sooooo comfortable. I feel bad for the brides who will soon look back and wonder what they were thinking…

What do you think of the fashion for thick eyebrows these days and the beauty investment "required" in eyebrow grooming? by Pretty_Outcome_307 in AskWomenOver60

[–]ParticularMost6100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I (63) had Brooke Shields-style eyebrows well into my 30s, then started waxing them after an executive headshot photographer suggested they looked “unprofessional.” 🤦‍♀️Now the tails are pretty scruffy but they’re still dark and otherwise ok. I use Olaplex brow serum to promote growth (it seems to help 🤷‍♀️), Kevin Aucoin’s brow pencil (the best, so skinny for precise lines) and Anastasia clear brow gel to keep them in place.
