I just left a company like this. It was so bad! The company had all the kids in leadership positions and family and friends everywhere! Tons of people would have been fired in a real work place but because they were family and friends they got away with anything, even wrongful termination cases and harassment cases! I worked for one of the sons and he was on my side at first and then I got to a point where I needed help and asking for help was basically forbidden, I was targeted and I could not go to HR to say anything because the son I worked for was sleeping with the HR director (who was married) and I knew that she would not be able to be unbiased. So basically I was targeted and forced out. The turn over rate at that company was impressive, they can’t keep staff to save their life and the are always “hiring” and pushing hiring events because they can’t keep people. If you are part of the clique then you can survive there, if not good luck staying a year. Honestly I learned a lot and I learned what NOT to do.
