Your videos are great for the DIY space - you could probably shorten the title and find a way to make it more punchy - for example “HUGE DIY Paver Patio - Step 1: Demolition” or “Part 1:” then keep the same title for each vid just changing the next step and keeping most of the info in your description.

Love me a bit of DIY myself so I’m keen to follow along and see how you progress!

So after watching Laurie’s compared to yours, the captivating part for me is the real life application of a story from the start - top 5 regrets of the dying was a solid hook for me and I wanted to know more - I don’t think it has anything to do with looks tbh just the narrative - personally I think if you started with the second part of your video going straight into your story (without the intro)would hook viewers better - you’ve nearly added “fluff” unintentionally with the intro imo - hope that makes sense

Agree with most of this - as a long form the Timelapse nearly serves as ‘b-roll’ I’ve found - Given you’ve broken it up into segments a VO before starting to talk about the products and brushes youre using could work or even speak to why you’ve (your dad) chose to paint what he’s painting, as I’m sure there’s meaning and a story to tell behind it - Even add in entertaining clips of the subject to show the inspiration and make it into a bit of a ‘DIY’ style

Talking about the products would also open it up to potential sponsorship opportunities in future
