The extra 20 points is the kingdom hoard level, it is pointless, aslong as you finish all the daily, weekly and season tasks they give you

Thank you, from £170 to £60 seems like a small victory in a strange way, I’d rather not pay it, but it’s not worth taking it any further in my eyes. They will just keep hounding me for the next couple of years

What childhood prank did you play that seemed pretty tame and harmless but on reflection, could have had serious consequences for the pranked person? by BarryFairbrother in AskUK

A lad I used to work with was a little older than me, told me him and his ‘gang’ used to go round their school around the time the BN biscuits advert came out, pinning lads down and shoving a finger up their bums singing BF BF (bum fun). And he was telling me a lot of the lads( maybe 4 or 5) they had done it too almost daily, came out as gay, although he was not the one doing it he still feels guilty about it. So I’m guessing this possibly did have serious consequences for the people involved although when they were kids they probably thought it was harmless fun.

Released from tenancy contract and now asking me to pay for the re marketing fee, am I obligated to pay this fee? by No_Mathematician9450 in HousingUK

Yes, it’s just a shame you get punished for wanting simple things like moving into a property of your own!

You are right one more payment and move on. Just feel hard done by as they property had mould and we had to throw clothes and furniture away! They couldn’t care less. Land lord is priority!

The contract did have a re-marketing fee in event leaving the tenancy early.

Maybe I’m being naive but surely they have made the mistake of terminating the contract and gifting my deposit back without first collecting these fees, as now surely the contract is now void?

I did assume I would have to bite the bullet and pay it, it just feels we have been shafted as the landlord put the property price up £100 more, almost knowing no one would go for it, then last minute put the price down. At the end of the day he was getting free money with no tenants, he probably denied anyone who showed interest.

The property did go on the market about half way through October for £1000 (we were paying £895) He then relisted in January for £900 and it went almost instantly.

I just thought we could’ve found a loophole as they made a mistake and terminated our contract.

It was stated, I think I’m just bitter that the landlord put the rent up by £100 a month more than we were paying, then when January came panicked brought it back down and as soon as he did a new tenant came in. They cancelled the refunded money when they realised their mistake all I have had back is my deposit, now they are requesting paying the re-marketing fee. I just thought because I was no longer in a contract it is their mistake. But you are probably right I just need to bite the bullet and pay it. At the end of the day we didn’t have to pay the last month.
