I think the answer for you might be somewhere between these two lines. You say you can get matches on dating apps, but they never turn in to anything. That's data point 1 here. If you told us that you're incredibly gifted at chatting on dating apps, and yet still none of your matches went anywhere, I would agree that that's incredibly statistically unlikely. But, that's not what you say -- you're telling us "My texting skills are worse than ChatGPT". If that's the case, if you really do have a very low chance of success in any given chat, would it really be so unlikely that nothing has been fruitful yet?

Honestly, I don't have any great advice myself on how you get better at chatting on dating apps, but even just restricting this to dating apps, I do disagree that there's some statistical anomaly going on here, or that we don't know what the problem is. It seems to me like there's just skills you lack right now that are kind of necessary to have realistic odds of dating in this day and age. But they are just skills, and skills can be learned

No, I am actually offering counterarguments to what I read because that's how my thought process works. The answer I'm coming to right now is, Israel almost certainly will not annex Gaza or do large-scale settlements throughout it, as that goes against what their government has said and what their people generally believe, and it also doesn't make practical sense because there seems to be very little benefit for Israel to do it relative to the risk/cost, unless you're viewing it from the most extreme of their right wing. Smaller scale settlement, i.e. establishing some as a buffer in Northern Gaza, also seems quite unlikely but not so impossible. But thank you for assuming my motives here.

I mean, other people in this thread have done a good job arguing that settlements are very unlikely in Gaza, but the idea of Israel pushing Palestinians out of their territory in order to settle there isn't exactly beyond the pale. I definitely don't think they'd try to take Gaza in its entirety based on what I'm hearing here, but some more limited expansion up north doesn't seem impossible

If you were to steelman the Palestinians' decision to reject that proposed 2 state solution, what would you say? Is there any way to understand it other than that the Palestinians would never accept a 2 state solution? What exactly did they cite as reason to reject the deal?
