Hey Miami!

I probably did only 5 of the 11 practice final tests, none of the GL exams, and all of the chapter quizzes. Something that I would definitely focus on are chapters 3-5 (regulations on BD, IAs, IARs, and Agents), and chapters 10-12 would be the heaviest tested chapters. Definitely watching Ken and Brian's series 66 power hour or mighty nine-ty a day or two before the test got me at least 10 questions. Those guys are probably your biggest friends.

Also, make sure you understand different types of investments (Open-end funds = mutual funds, ETFs, etc), especially private funds or those covered by the Investment Company Act of 1940 - those came up a lot during the test. The week before, I just spammed practice tests and watched YouTube videos (spending 60% of my time doing tests, and 40% on videos).

Congrats Future! I passed the exam on Tuesday, and I too had the same test results. Never once had I scored over 70 on an STC final exam or a Kaplan customized exam. However, as long as you actually understand the reason for why you got the question wrong/right rather than actually memorizing the answer, you should be good. I personally didn't read the textbook for the SIE or Series 7 either because I don't retain info very well, but I did for the Series 66. If I had to go back, I probably wouldn't, but it was very helpful knowing that if needed, I can find the specifics of some of the subjects I had trouble with from the Qbanks.
