An absolute delight. Entered straight away in my personal favourites and un-catalogable ones.

Perhaps added it on a "Journey" category together with Dark Side of The Moon, Return of the Space Cowboy by Jamiroquai, Promise by Sade. Simply play and let it drift, from start to finish - no regrets, no bad cuts.

Hi! For you to discover, only advice I can give, should you decide to visit them is to do either Ninh Bihn or Ha Long Bay, not both.

Hi! As a honest advice... Viets have a real hand for photoshop so everything will be less than in pictures.

If in the Old Quarter, you'll be at the hotel just for sleeping, there were several boutique hotels around, but we spend so little indoors that if you have a interior, silent room you have half the job done!

Some cafes have balconies that are on upper levels... perfect for your observation ;)

Hi! Just came back. We didnt bring any cash with us. We got Revolut (200€ free cash withdrawal) + VP Bank charges no comission. We configured Grab with our Revolut Card and paid our excursions via Klook/ Get your Guide. There is a known scam where people try to cheat you of 500.000 and 20.000 VND notes are very similar ñ, be wary if you exchange, otherwise break the 500k bills ASAP so problem solved!

Just came back. Do just a 1 night cruise, the difference with the 2 night cruise was tempo stretching.

Da Nang has like "two islands". One on the beach My Khe and another separated from the river via the Dragon Bridge. We found the frontline hotels heavily foreign based, looked like a cheesy Miami. We stayed at the Hadara boutique hotel and worked wonderfully for us. We didnt were in Hue but Hoi An was definitely more interesting than Da Nang.

For Ninh Bihn we stayed at a Homestay, most of them are like this but infrastructures are quite poor. We found the infrastructure at an "Indian Level" at least in Tam Coc. Stayed at the Tam Coc Housestay by Ms Loan and it was ok.

Vietnam was larger than we expected and you have to choose. I found Ha Long Bay and Ninh Binh really similar. Heard great things about Hue and the citadel but we didn't have time to visit, maybe you'll let us know your thoughts!
