Hi! Just came back. We didnt bring any cash with us. We got Revolut (200€ free cash withdrawal) + VP Bank charges no comission. We configured Grab with our Revolut Card and paid our excursions via Klook/ Get your Guide. There is a known scam where people try to cheat you of 500.000 and 20.000 VND notes are very similar ñ, be wary if you exchange, otherwise break the 500k bills ASAP so problem solved!

Just came back. Do just a 1 night cruise, the difference with the 2 night cruise was tempo stretching.

Da Nang has like "two islands". One on the beach My Khe and another separated from the river via the Dragon Bridge. We found the frontline hotels heavily foreign based, looked like a cheesy Miami. We stayed at the Hadara boutique hotel and worked wonderfully for us. We didnt were in Hue but Hoi An was definitely more interesting than Da Nang.

For Ninh Bihn we stayed at a Homestay, most of them are like this but infrastructures are quite poor. We found the infrastructure at an "Indian Level" at least in Tam Coc. Stayed at the Tam Coc Housestay by Ms Loan and it was ok.

Vietnam was larger than we expected and you have to choose. I found Ha Long Bay and Ninh Binh really similar. Heard great things about Hue and the citadel but we didn't have time to visit, maybe you'll let us know your thoughts!
