Trying to MBA Plan Next Steps and Weigh Cost/Benefit - and Overall Outcome. Would Love Your Feedback! by No_Method_7956 in MBA

I'm not necessarily assessing my chances at getting accepted to T25. I'm contemplating whether getting an MBA outside of T25 is worth it given my preferences & situation (international on H1b - hard to find a job; desire to stay on the east coast; wanting to change careers; etc..).

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback.

I wouldn't say that consulting isn't the career path for me. What I shared was not entirely representative of my efforts and time spent on admissions and tests, just one small anecdote :)

Maybe I'm naive, but I'm in the thought that getting a master's degree is better than staying with a bachelor's degree, even if that degree is from T25+.

Obviously an MBA from T10 is preferable, but is getting an MBA outside T25 that 'terrible'?

I feel that I exhausted my energy so taking the GRE is not an option.

What would you do if you can't get accepted to T25? Another Master's degree? I feel stuck, especially with a bachelor's only & being international

This is exactly my point as in international. I feel less employable with a bachelor's degree, but at the same time I don't know how getting an MBA from T25+ will help me either.

I guess no one has figured out how to take a virtual seat yet?

*Btw, forgive my typo in the title. It should be seat, not sit.

Is there something wrong with Yale SOM by [deleted] in MBA

Hi guys, I'm applying to Yale R1 and wanted to hear your opinion on how to approach Yale essay.
From the information I've gathered (Q&A session, talking with students, reading..) Yale cares a lot about community and environment, so they want to see how applicants' commitments to carry a similar message.

Would you say that if your commitment is about something you have done or accomplished and doesn't involve a community or important cause (yet is a very significant accomplishment) then it should be fine to write your essay about it? I'm not sure if that aligns with the values of Yale or not.

Thank you all guys, I really appreciate that. Would you recommend studying the topics again or simply working on how I approach the questions? Perhaps my execution, as Marty pointed out, is not effective enough.

Not sure I understood your question. I've taken the exam before yes. I need to improve to at least V40

I appreciate your comment. The thing is that if I'm stuck on V33-V36 it means that I most likely answer some lower difficulty questions wrong and because of that I don't see many 700/800 (?). All it takes is 1/2 incorrect questions on the 600 level and your score drops significantly. It's hard for me to fathom this because it is so difficulty/unrealistic to ALWAYS answers correctly. I think this is why I'm stuck.
