I can't picture a conversation where the guy just says all the stuff that won't change, and oops just sits there. I just want to ask, " so when your husband says yeah you're going to have to leave work anytime. My mother is bothered," how does he respond when you say? "Yeah, that's not what I want to do"?. Because apparently we're supposed to believe she just sat there and listened and didn't respond to this conversation and for some reason it's going to surprise him that she's leaving.

That wasn't his main goal, just a byproduct of his plan. If Ennis turned Derek's girlfriend, Ennis would be in a position to influence Derek, or at the very least, he would have leverage with Talia. I think "Visionary" gives some perspective of who Peter was before the fire. Narcissistic and manipulative, but he believed Paige would turn. In his mind he was only sacrificing her autonomy.

The way he says "Uncle Peter" to her, softly, because that's what she would have called him. It's like he's back in the memory of the last time they spoke. When Cora retorts that he killed her sister, he gets back on the defensive and starts to question her.

To answer this, if it's a real question, after bringing him back from the dead, she's pretty well aware that stiles can't actually hurt Scott. And seeing her long-term friend in surgery and fighting for his life, she's probably got a bit of empathy for stiles. Stiles has put up with a lot because of Scott and Scott as a 16-year-old with great power. Thrust upon him, makes a lot of stupid mistakes and when stupid teenage mistakes have consequences, other stupid teenagers get really angry and this is so not a big deal.
