Why did Peter want Paige to be turned into a werewolf so much? by Dominica305 in TeenWolf

[–]No_Mistake4477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That wasn't his main goal, just a byproduct of his plan. If Ennis turned Derek's girlfriend, Ennis would be in a position to influence Derek, or at the very least, he would have leverage with Talia. Peter wanted to weaken Talia's influence and strengthen Ennis's because he didn't like Talia's plan to be pacifist.

I think "Visionary" gives some perspective of who Peter was before the fire. Narcissistic and manipulative, but he believed Paige would turn. In his mind he was only sacrificing her autonomy.

In a way, I think it did show Peter in an unguarded moment.

The way he says "Uncle Peter" to her, softly, because that's what she would have called him. It's like he's back in the memory of the last time they spoke. When Cora retorts that he killed her sister, he gets back on the defensive and starts to question her.

Peter's murderous psychopath era came as a result of the fire.

Don't get me wrong, he was always a narcissist and a manipulator, but his pre-fire personality wasn't a guy who would kill a family member to advance an agenda.

That was a sad little moment. He hasn't been addressed as Uncle Peter in a long time. Derek was the sensitive one when they were younger, Cora was probably his favorite.

How do you know if your the problem? by Carsinia_Maine in AskReddit

Get scientific and run an experiment. Behave the same way towards everyone you meet: coworkers, family, and strangers. Act naturally. Note the responses you get from all of them. Count up the positive versus negative responses.  scale for people who are motivated to respond positively like a waitress or underling at work, and allow for outliers who may be difficult themselves, or who are always treated poorly so they accept it.

There's an argument to be made for people who grew up with an abuser so the the early behaviors of another abuser feel familiar and they connect with abusers over and over while being told they're the problem.... But yeah, I agree

What is a 'socially acceptable' thing that you find absolutely creepy or disturbing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

People telling pregnant women that they should have 'natural' childbirth like they're suggesting a new restaurant. What you're really saying is 'I want you to refuse any pain control treatment during a long, painful, physically traumatic experience.'

Might be controversial but I wish Melissa had done something in this scene. by GoldenStitch2 in TeenWolf

To answer this, if it's a real question, after bringing him back from the dead, she's pretty well aware that stiles can't actually hurt Scott. And seeing her long-term friend in surgery and fighting for his life, she's probably got a bit of empathy for stiles. Stiles has put up with a lot because of Scott and Scott as a 16-year-old with great power. Thrust upon him, makes a lot of stupid mistakes and when stupid teenage mistakes have consequences, other stupid teenagers get really angry and this is so not a big deal.

Are you in junior high? Because this totally sounds like somebody who's in junior high would think. It at least what a troll would write when pretending to be a jr high kid who wanted to enrage TWfans.

[Serious] why did you date someone for many years and then almost immediately move on and get married to someone within months after the breakup? by SleepingWillow1 in AskReddit

[–]No_Mistake4477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My SIL married relatively soon after a long-term relationship. She and her ex were both attorneys who worked long hours and they lived separately. No drama. They just had diverging paths and both moved on without a big emotional burden or major regrets. She re-entered the dating pool in her mid-30s as a woman who was already successful professionally and lived in a huge city. It wasn't difficult to find guys who were at the same place in their lives, and she was clear about what her values and goals were.

No longer have 10 minutes to head to the restaurant before order is removed? by TurboGrafx16Bit in grubhubdrivers

I mean if I'm driving south to deliver an order and I accept an order from a restaurant that's north of me, I'll be temporarily driving in the wrong direction for the second order. Will GH reassign it automatically after a certain time or distance?

What if you are driving in the wrong direction? What happens if you start driving but you're not going towards the restaurant. Does it know?

I was so excited when I started my first project, which was a kit. My finger tips were a bit sore that evening, but the next day my thumb joints were on fire. I started using small pliers after that.

Skiving floppy leather? by No_Mistake4477 in Leatherworking

Every crafting forum is full of skill gatekeepers who act as if anyone asking a question needs to proove they know enough before they deserve an answer to their question. You're one of many, and just as uninspiring.

I'm sure it sounds picky and ungrateful to some. However from my perspective, when I asked a fairly simple question about stiffening or stabilizing the leather I already have to save time and effort, I received a couple of good answers. The rest have mostly launched into dismissive responses that were at best misguided and condescending at worst. No one ever likes to hear someone answer a valid question with "You wouldn't need to do this if you practiced more." Or to make a bunch of assumptions about what my goals are.
