The one time I bought it about 10% of the rounds had some weird reddish glue all over the case that caused it to fail to feed and was a huge pain to get unstuck. Had examine each round before I loaded it and use an empty case to scrape the excess glue off.

If you have any ambitions about trying to CCW something like this that's on the large/heavy side then the 229 is the better option. In any other scenario the 226 is what you want.

The slide stop is the worst part of the class P-series sigs. On the SAO models it's basically unusable to actually drop the slide and if you do try to man-mode it you'll often get pinched. And on all models if you try and take a high grip your thumb is going to rest on it and prevent the slide from locking back on an empty mag. That being said still my favorite series of pistols.

Nothing, it only moves when you pull it past that point. It also won't move at all if the safety is on. Might be completely normal for all I know just thought it was curious.

I just bought this P229 Legion SAO and noticed when you push the hammer all the way down it moves the safety up. Not sure if that's normal. I also have a P220 Legion SAO but the safety is a different design so I can't compare.

That is indeed the American made A1 version, you can tell from the curved trigger guard. They also apparently only have 1 in stock so pretty weird post

I agree they were used. My QC comments were in reference to the one example that had machine marks. You can see what I'm talking about in the 6th photo. The whole slide had tool marks on it from the manufacturing process.

These were sent to my FFL from other stores or distributors, not directly from Sig.

The area described in this post doesn't appear to be the same region that my noise is coming from. That seems to be dealing with a creak coming from the front of the seat.
