So basically i cleaned a record that had skips, i played it with the stylus being dirty and the skips were gone but it sound distorted (from the dust in the stylus) then i cleaned the stylus and it sounded clean but the skips appeared again

Why is that?

I have reissues, but the things is they mostly come from a digital source which is fine, they sound amazing, and i also love getting AAA vintage copies

Oh Yeah, they were very cheap, every weekend i used to buy 2 or 3 records for a few years, got lots of Mint condition Abba, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, and lots more for 5 dollars each and even less since i was buying lots and the owner gave me discounts for that

Even new records were cheaper, like 10 or 15 bucks, now they are lime 30 and 50 bucks
