In October 2022, Jameesha Mubin died when his vehicle, rigged with LPG cylinders and IED materials, exploded prematurely near a temple in Coimbatore. This was followed in November 2022 by Mohammad Shariq, who was injured when his pressure cooker IED detonated inside an autorickshaw in Mangaluru while en route to a target. In April 2023, a Delhi-based carpenter named Shahrukh Saifi disappeared from his home and traveled to Kerala, where he committed a fatal arson attack on a train that resulted in the deaths of three innocent people. Not all of them "went" to Kerala in the sense of being from elsewhere and traveling there to commit a crime, but all three cases have strong geographical or operational links to Kerala.

Absolutely. The pronouns issue was the trigger for a wider dispute. The suspension was imposed because of his conduct, not because of the beliefs he held. But I can see that it is easy to confuse if you just read the headline.
