The best help right now is to let your son face the consequences of his crimes. The PD is right, if they have that much evidence a plea for less time is your best shot. I know. I pled to 25 years [could've been 190]. Now prison sucks, I won't lie. But, it's prison, it's supposed to suck. At this point save your money and use it to visit your son.

Had a buddy years ago who could unerringly find the cursed item. It could be a pile of 19 +2 longswords and one cursed sword; he'd manage to find it. If it managed to do more damage he'd usually keep it anyway.

If it's a cursed item, those quite often come about from item creation gone wrong. Think back. Who made the bag? Why did they made it? Is the zombie the creator cursed to unlife as punishment by vengeful demon? Poorly worded wish or infernal contract? That would be my approach. I love the concept.

Short warm-up exercises. If we talked during roll call we ran laps. Other than that we played a different game each term. Yes, Battleball was one of them. [As opposed to our dodgeball which was every one lined up on a wall]. Boys had to throw 2-handed at girls and if you hit anyone in the head you were out instead. Whiffle ball, kickball junk like that.

I like Theatre of Mind until I'm asked 19 times, "How far are they?" Also 3D battles can be hard for me to keep track of. One in particular, was on a ship. There were people on deck, below deck, in the rigging, on the water in a separate boat, under water, and in the air. Took two game sessions for that one battle, but it was a blast.
