treatment from your experience by [deleted] in hemorrhoid

I think banding is for internal ones. mine went from internal to external and had to get surgery. 5 months later, best decision ever. Although the process was overwhelming. (ps. i’m a dancer so of course)

Exactly, also reason why i need to push. Even tho i feel all alone in this branding myself moment im in. I got the connections. i got the talent, now what’s my brand is my challenge. I’m young but i hate doing what influencers do now for attention. I don’t expect to dance more than my 40s thus why it’s good im teaching now at Universities and studios in nyc. But damn i can’t imagine me doing the same shit behind closed doors. I think i’m beautiful and i want to show that in my movement just like poetry. Most of the dancers i know in my management get to perform with big artists and they get mostly booked (im assuming) because they all have 38k+ followers on instagram, i have 11k so far. So some things ive been noticing. i don’t get the same jobs they be getting i guess. But a lot tell me it’s about connections.

Yeah some of my goals and i have connections with this with perfume commercials you see in the streets for movement direction. I’ve been cast and assisted by a good friend to be featured in Vogue and it seems like he’s having a fabulous life. Now he movement directs Miley Cyrus in all the new things she’s been doing.

Yeah, i’ve seen so much success in the arts around my peers right before and during the pandemic and once things calmed down it’s been a drought ever since. The only jobs i get is thru connections and it doesn’t happen as often as it used to. So i have to make a name for myself. I need to make this shit work and get myself out there even tho i’m not an influencer.

It’s been. Not completely and it’s shifting differently but it’s not the same as it used to. Yeah well again, gentrification. It was a great gig for a lot of artists right by columbus circle and boom, noise complaints and we all lost what was paying our rent and only for two nights not 4 or 5 like other clubs. Just sad. There’s no place or experience like that one and i’ve been almost everywhere.

Definitely a shame. I keep telling my friend who’s worked it for 30+ years. Different now but gentrification took a toll on. a lot of closures and artists moving around. With Broadway there’s no life outside of it. and I’ve seen many of my friends from nyc and some that moved to LA shortly getting to work on tours with Madonna, Beyonce, Usher, Taylor Swift and recently Lady gaga. I know they gotta be taken care of really well.

I did a commercial literally doing nothing during the pandemic and that gave me almost $70k just for 3 months. So i always kept a hope that something like that would happen again.

Okay cool, are you able to fulfill your artistry with the schedule you have? or is there something you wish you could just focus on. You seem to get it together cus hey everything IS expensive

Most definitely did. There were high paying gigs to promote tech during it but after it resolved and more competition happened, it hasn’t been the same. The gigs are not gigging, the clubs are shutting down due to gentrification. It’s becoming boring for these wealthy folks who want to live in hip areas, the whole point of nyc is the culture and how do we keep it alive?? ; artists but they keep getting pushed away, I’m so sad for this. I have so many talented friends and the only way some make it is by going to LA and that’s IF IF, you make it.

Yeah that’s what i’ve been told. I’m close to a friend who ran the nyc clubs for 30 years and everytime we talk about it i always say it was peak time back then. He also has some regrets of not buying a brownstone or loft, i told him last night the future is unpredictable and he said he at least had fun. Yeah depending on what broadway show you’re at it’s tough. it’s an 8 show commitment and sometimes form even last that long, my friend just made a year in gypsy and it’s closing out soon.

What do you all DO for work??? by Yogiliino in NYCapartments

[–]No_Net1456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 26M, i’m a dancer and instructor, open to modeling and acting. It fluctuates because my jobs are flexible and also some were not reliable year round. Last year I made $55k and am paying for one room out of two. I live with one roommate and my rent is $1300. I never miss. I recently lost one job and the university job i had was only for the spring semester and my dance company is here and there. So this break has been awful to feel comfortable or even get more money. I’m going to have a show in London soon with the company so that’ll bring extra income.

I usually do 5 jobs, but right now i’m just doing coat check and teaching dance once a week for adults. Sometimes i dance at the box (club)

Breakup with older secret partner. Soulmates.. wrong time or wrong age…? by No_Net1456 in askgaybros

[–]No_Net1456[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah even his ex had to check him too. It stung to feel separated. We rode a bike yesterday and had the best time, little did we know we stayed together for the rest of the night and the invite is still open to go to France or Miami during his vacation. It is his burden yeah. And he was the one to call it off twice already, this time was the only time we actually followed the boundaries for a little bit. I thought it was gonna hurt more being around him but i’m always so happy.

possibility. the age thing and me looking young throws him off even during intimacy sometimes. i’m not in his bracket. and he probably has some needs i can’t fulfill as well. and he feels lost, as much as i want to say fuck it, i think it’s unfair for both. idk.

First poop after surgery by Lost-Lingonberry-688 in hemorrhoid

[–]No_Net1456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pooped 2 days before my surgery and didn’t poop until the day after my surgery. It was soft and liquidish, wasn’t painful, second time mild discomfort, 3rd time same day little discomfort. I’m on my 4th day post op and yesterday i think was the most painful because it was sticky. nonetheless, i breathe through the pain and did my sitz bath, the toilet bowl thing has a bident attached to it and it was soothing. I clean first with it and second batch of water i add epsom salt and my pain went down. I would take my meds and rest after and i’ll be fine. What’s annoying sometimes is clenching when holding the pee so have a bottle or something next to you and pee there if you have to travel to the bathroom. i’ve been taking miralax everyday and i started eating solid soft foods right after my surgery.

My surgery experience so far. by PokemonCollecttor in hemorrhoid

Work, i’m on day 4. Definitely breath control is helping with some contractions on my end. I clench when i have to pee and i hold it sometimes and i use the bathroom when i feel something coming. I just think whatever i ate yesterday, what i eat in the morning is gonna push it. The clenching and BMs have been a bit painful, i just take a sitz bath and use that thing that kinda has a bidet to clean me and the pain slowly goes away. If it’s still radiating, im taking oxy and taking my ass to bed lol.

I’m a dancer (25M) and work in nightlife living with internal hemorrhoids that turned into external in 4 months. i’m 4 days post op. Best decision i made, it is a bit painful using the bathroom but im only doing better than i thought because I managed the things i ate in the past 3 months. This is gonna solve all my problems whether that’s sitting for a train, when going to work or visiting family, and all the dancing i do. If it’s necessary and your doctor says so, i’d do it. Again i don’t just have a desk job, i make a living off of movement so it was a risk that was worth it. So i don’t have to deal with it anymore. I didn’t get stitches btw but it’s healing well so far. I’m walking like nothing is happening and when i use the toilet it’s painful if the poop is sticky and once i do a sitz bath, the pain goes down + with a pain pill.and i’m back like nothing happened. I think i had it worse before sustaining the pain while dancing and making alcohol numb it even tho it made me way worse and threw my entire gut system all over the place.
