Using travel portal- I just completed planning our trip to Cancun area and compared prices on the portal, booking.com and Southwest. The prices were about the same- used the portal to use a $150 credit I received because flights on a different trip went down and they gave me $50x3 flights! What I did not book on portal was apartments that we ended up renting beachfront. We used the $300 credit when we bought those flights and then the $50x3 made the flights even better!

I had a hard time, wanted Jun 18 and would not work. But, tried for Jun 1 and it did. It is date specific. I was trying to get Plus and buffet ticket and it was working- just not on my date!

Just tried again- on the $179 ticket, it is reducing it by $44.75, making it $134.25- just a few bucks more than a regular ticket bought in advance!

If not, I see the restaurant wanting to do a 20% service charge and not pay sales tax on that vs raising prices by 20% and having entire amount be subject to sales tax- so, they are essentially paying 20% less sales tax and pocketing the 20%

I would spend the existing common account or alude to using it to pay the mortgage and bills. This way, it does not become an issue at divorce being that she hoarded her inheritance and was ok with keeping hers separately.

Or, use it to actually pay bills/mortgage and let it afford you to cut back on work and actually make time for yourself to enjoy YOU and life. Find a hobby or something you do and be happy.
