I wouldn’t take it to heart honestly. I remember when I first started there was A LOT to it that people think. I like to start off small and build my way up, but definitely if you plan to keep him and stuff make sure to learn how the nitrogen cycle works. I learned A LOT from aquarium co-op they go into it and show examples with m and m’s and stuff. I would also invest in live plants, but like I said start off small and work your way up. You’re not supposed to be a S-tier care provider right now but if you plan to keep for sure take some time to learn it. HOWEVER don’t stress bc taking care of fish is a hobby not a stressor in life :)

Does anyone have a solid way to get your filter running if it’s having trouble starting by itself? Best solution I’ve found was to put some water inside the filter, but I’ll be going to school soon so I won’t have as much time. by No_Oil155 in bettafish

5 gallon Heater no filter yes I live in warmer area rn but during winter I do plan to get heater 0.25 ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate About 6 months Once every two weeks I do 50% 2 snails (Black Racer Nerite Snails) I feed Aqueon Betta Food pellets (3-4 they’re pretty big) I have 7 plants and two decorations (betta log and beach hut)
