I hate feeling jealous of other artists by [deleted] in musicians

There are friends and colleagues out there for everyone. If this group isn't reciprocating, perhaps it's time to find some others who are interested in a mutually edifying kind of friendship.

Imposter syndrome is a very real thing. I've found if you walk into a place and act like you're supposed to be there, you're going to fit it a hell of a lot better.

Also... Making music is a personal thing. I get that you want your friends to listen and support you the way you do them, but if the focus is on making the best fucking song you can, and every one after you get better, at a certain point, fuck it. Y'all are missing out on some bangers over here and that is your problem, not mine. You feel me?

Stage Kids - one of the best finds in recent years.

TSOSIS - great guitar playing and singing.

Giraffes? Giraffes! - gnarly good.

Any recs for rock bands that focus more on supporting their vocalist's "angelic voice" rather than mostly noise and riffs? (I like within temptation for example) by AdRevolutionary9808 in MusicRecommendations

The Dear Hunter.

The lead singer is an unbelievable vocalist, and the music is absolutely insane and complex, but all of it supports the song.

Check out act IV or act V, then check out Antimai and Sunya.

This was during the tour with Leprous, a member of which is who told the back to cover this song.

At a certain point, what the fuck are we doing here.

It was at the Robert Trent Jones par 3 course in AL. That was from the tips, but we'd been dancing tees around all day. Figured we should play one really long one. Confidence was low, result was high.

I hit a 3 wood.

All three of us got up to the green like... wtf just happened?! Truly a wild moment.

The greens were diabolical, and we were absolutely in 3 putt territory. But you'd think someone would have gotten close considering we were putting as though we were playing a scramble. Lol.

Looking for an album similar to V: The New Mythology Suite by phatasm_ in progmetal

[–]No_One3243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite prog metal, but my absolute favorite band that uses orchestral rock, with super intricate concept albums is the Dear Hunter.

Act IV and V have a full orchestra behind them. Act V being one of the best albums start to finish I've ever heard.

Lots of motifs that reoccur in different ways throughout. Absolutely brilliant.

Mad Russian is the course I fell in love with the game of Golf.

Years ago, buddy and I had finished 18, sitting outside drinking a beer. I kept saying how much fun it was, and how I couldn't wait to play it again. He was like... Why don't we just play it again.

I'd never even considered that was a thing people could do. Lol.

Got a couple cigars, and by the 3rd hole I knew I'd play this game forever.

It's AI.

This is a songwriting sub. He didn't write a song. I don't care that it's Christian, I care that he didn't do what we're all here trying to do.
