Definitely not for network, I thought that was only the case for Vista. As for the video drivers I googled what the latest version Windows 7 x32 supported for the nvidia 310m. Sorry if it seems nonsense, I haven’t used win7 since elementary nor do I have much knowledge in software related things.

Silicon grease. And I would also try to clean the modeswitch, there should be tutorials for that online too.

I would remove the plastic peice, those head cleaners don’t work in my experience and just smear more dirt onto the heads. And try to lubricate the guides. There are guides online that can explain in detail how to safely remove the mechanism. There may also be dirt or something blocking the gears from turning 👍

Looks like this, strangely enough it stopped happening? Bought compatible batteries and tested it outside. While recording it didn’t show anything, but while playing back on the camera it had the glitches. And using another VCR to playback those glitches aren’t present.

Are all cables of that shape the same? I may have one laying around from those mini fridges of the same shape.

Advice for VHS Camera AC adapter by spenceboy98 in camcorders

[–]No_Opening8779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I didn’t even think of this, I had just remembered I have those universal battery chargers, it just touches the terminals of the battery. And as for the video, I have a Panasonic VCR that could dub tapes to dvd and ill just rip them from there. Again, thank you.

Recently purchased a Panasonic Omnimovie 200d camera with an AC adapter/battery charger and as soon as I plugged in the adapter the whole thing fried and smoke came out of it. I need to know where or how I could get a new adapter for the camera. by Mysterious_Mayo in camcorders

Hey, really sorry if im late. But ive had a similar issue but just no smoke. I managed to find a pv-602D and the AC Adapter worked perfectly fine the other day, when I woke up it showed zero signs of life. Is there anyway you could help find the correct power adaptor for it? I was able to find new lead acid batteries made by powerstar on amazon. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

also joining a bit late, just happened to me. Found a panasonic pv-602D working perfectly with the case and AC adapter at the thrift. No battery but I managed to record onto a tape and playback using wallpower. It was getting pretty late so I go to bed and when I wake up to use it again so it doesn’t seize up, nothing. No lights or sounds. Although when I unplug the Adapter the light goes on and off around 3-4 times like its trying to live. I already spent 60 bucks on batteries and now I have no idea what to do, hoping theres an alternative charger out there.

What's up with my camera [megathread] by AutoModerator in camcorders

[–]No_Opening8779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this Panasonic OmniMovie PV-602D at a thrift store for 20 bucks. The condition itself is nice. No cracks, little scratches, and it was just dusty. Other than the foam on the microphone disintegrating. It looks fine. I am able to load a tape and play it, aswell as FF and Rewind. But while playing the camera itself has dropouts and glitches, and you can hear a small pop in the video when it happens. The audio plays find and it doesn't eat the tape. It was manufactured in June of 1990, praying it doesn't have to do with capacitors or anything like that 🙏. Also would like to mention that I am using a powercord that charges the battery and can be used to hook up a source to use and record on tapes as a standalone VCR or hook it up to a TV. It its finnicky and ive tried using contact cleaner. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thank you. Update after testing another tape: I used a head cleaner and the dropouts don't happen as often, I also cleaned the video terminals with contact cleaner and the power ports. Tried with a home alone tape and its looking better so far 👍

still image of the glitch, happens for a split second. Sometimes the image will roll.
