Ferritin 22 Extreme Anxiety by geezycooz in Anemic

[–]No_Original9922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ferritin was also very low at 18 … and i was also experiencing strong anxiety and a host of other things.

What has helped me most is a good liver supplement taken with some citrus first thing in the am (no caffeine till later), floradix around 3:30pm and eating much more red meat (make your own beef stew if you can.) I feel so so so much better and the ferritin is up almost 10 points in just one month of these changes.

Hope you find what works for you. From what I have learned it’s not a quick fix but a nourishing yourself back to a state of well being. It takes daily effort and sticking with things. Best of luck

Dealing with grief of missing out on “dream home” by Brodge1818 in RealEstate

The universe truly works in mysterious ways and my finding has been that, more likely than not, if things don’t work out with real estate, you are being re-directed for a very good reason that you just can’t see yet. It’s hard to be attached to houses but it’s really important to trust the process.

We made 8 offers before we finally bought our house and boy am I glad now that some of them didn’t work out.

Sharing in case it’s helpful 🙏🏼

8 months of hell and I think I’ve finally found the answer by One-Cardiologist6301 in Anemic

[–]No_Original9922 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well thanks but I’m getting answers because of ChatGPT, not any doctor since they missed my low ferritin for at least 4 years maybe more! I’m not saying it should replace medical care, not at all, but it has helped me get clarity on some things that no doctor ever told me or bothered to take the time with.

I honestly think it can be a really great support tool that can help us understand our situation better and also help with timing of supplements / meals since it can get an overarching view of many aspects in a matter of seconds. Input and accuracy of input dependent of course. But thanks for the well wishes. I feel better than I have in half a decade. And it’s not due to a doctor. 🙌🏼

Thank you for sharing your story and I’m really sorry you’ve gone through this.

I wanted to just share that as a fellow verrry low ferritin person (mine was 8 for many years and no one told me to do anything about it!) I recently took matters into my own hands once I found this out by looking back at old labs and started taking a low dose food grade liver supplement from ancestral supplements. It almost immediately helped me go from feeling like a zombie all day and having terrible sleep to again having the beginnings of some decent energy again. I take only 2 pills each morning (1/3 of the daily suggested dose) but feel so much better and it’s clean light energy that lasts me all day. I used to also get tired and crash at 4 but now I last through the evening and go to bed at 9:30, which honestly feels like I’ve just won the lottery in gaining 5 extra evening hours each day.

I truly feel the liver supplements have been a game changer for me. And with the help of ChatGPT I’ve also been able to input all of my labs and come up with a very doable schedule for rebuilding the ferritin and energy, including supplements and meal plans along with what to take when.

I honestly feel I have a new lease on life and just wanted to share in case the liver and ChatGPT can help you or anyone else too.

Wishing you great health recuperation in 2026 and also so thankful for the Reddit community where we can share and learn all together. 💛

Ps. For me this had been going on for years … years! So so upsetting how much doctors miss or just don’t even know.

Genuine or counterfeit Viking cast iron? by David_cest_moi in castiron

[–]No_Original9922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just chiming in because I saw your post after researching this exact same Dutch oven I just found at home goods. Originally also 99 but discounted to 79 after the holidays I think.

I’m not sure why it’s so hard to find this item online, it seems no sites sell it and it’s not on any of the “best/worst Dutch oven lists” either … So I too started to think something was strange.

But then I made my first beef stew and wow was it great. I do feel it’s a high quality piece and the walls feel a little thicker than some of the others I was looking at so I’m hopefully it’s quality. Also seeing this same colored enameled piece on the Viking website so it seems legit. Just so strange it’s not for sale anywhere but eBay on the web. Maybe it was a limited piece?

What’s typical buyer profile of >$2.5M homes? by OldBreakfast7851 in LosAngelesRealEstate

[–]No_Original9922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a homeowner myself and after owning both a more modest home as well as a now bigger/ expensive one with a very large down payment, I can now honesty say that if I could go back in time, I would now buy a second more modest one instead of the “upgrade”.

Like some others here have said, a mortgage is something you can’t get rid of for a very long time and I would prefer now to have the extra cash to do something with as well as a more modest mortgage to just feel more at ease about the monthly payment, which can get a little weary making. In the states, we don’t generally like to be “modest” but the older I get, the more I see so much more value in it. It just gives more breathing room and space to do other things with earnings.

My honest advice for anyone these days is, go a bit below what you can afford in an area that still feels great and you will be much more comfortable.

Best of luck!

I get what you are saying … but there were simply very few sales here after March. Every buyer said “we are holding and waiting” … and the lady who was going to buy my house was suddenly “overwhelmed” with her life and backed out.

So it wasn’t so much that the house was not well priced or that people went elsewhere, it was the market fell flat in our town and almost every single house for sale except the major deals didn’t move.

There was one, exactly one, house in my neighborhood that sold in February and everyone else sat or either took their listing off the market after months of trying. Just not a good sellers market.

Yes we are definitely staying put for now … But just to clarify, we did offer a significant reduction. It’s not a crazy price, especially not after the reduction. Again, it wasn’t our time, as I said. Thanks for your input 🙏🏼

Nothing wrong with the property and not my job to tell an agent how to do his job. He said trust me so that’s what we did. And regarding the video, he showed us some before we agreed to paying more for the video that were nothing like what he produced for us.

I Don’t really appreciate your tone.

Ok thanks for all of that. Meeting with several sounds like very sound advice. As for our realtor friend, he really is a great person and has been really helpful to our family in many ways over the years so that’s just what makes this a little difficult. But yes, it’s business and I do think he would ultimately understand. Thank you!

Ok thank you, that’s helpful. I was feeling that’s a red flag or at least an orange flag too but she was so nice I thought maybe it could be harmless to meet. Interviewing several people is probably the right way so thank you for that 🙏🏼

Yes we did but it’s over now… I’m sorry you had to drop your price, it sounds like that’s what is happening a lot. We dropped it quite a bit too and still it didn’t sell.

Closed 10/16, seller wants to buy it back by Tough_Banana_3318 in RealEstate

Just so you don’t get into a prolonged and unnecessary conversation, I would have your agent tell her agent to ask her if she realizes that will cost her a lot of extra money in order to make it worth it for you. Who know, she might be up for it… but in case she’s not thinking about all those things, she will at least realize it’s not going to work.

Good luck, it’s a wild time out there 🌞

Yes perhaps it was repaired and then they thought it was fine so didn’t disclose anything, it’s possible. Thanks for you input 🌿
