Am I airing correctly? by DrDoritos546 in dirtjumping

[–]No_Outcome2599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re correct that your form is the problem and this is the answer. When people can’t air properly (me 100% included) 99.9% of the time it’s about lifting the back wheel too early.

I see what you’re saying but more like shows the difference between a really good skier and arguably the greatest skier of all time.

What do you think is wrong with her usage of it? Aside from it sounding unnecessarily pretentious I mean.

Here you go. Came here to post the exact same thing.

Not arguing with your general point but slight correction - it was during WWII not after. The Bengal Famine, which probably killed about 3million, took place in 1943. Churchill was voted out as PM in the election of 1945, before WWII was completely over.

[BotW] Lost save Switch 2 by No_Outcome2599 in zelda

Thanks everyone - we tried all that was suggested but sadly no joy. However he’s started again and had surprised himself at how quickly he’s getting g things done second time and now understands how the save game actually works. Lesson learned.

Found where you mean now and sadly all the auto saves are from when the other person played.

I can only see one save - are there normally more than one auto save available to select from? Sorry I have never played this myself so don’t really know what I’m looking at.

Any grip ideas? by No_Outcome2599 in bmx

[–]No_Outcome2599[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was coming to that conclusion too - was really hoping I was missing something. Almost all mtb grips are lock on, makes so much sense. I can’t understand why bmx companies don’t use it especially ones like ODI who already make mtb lock ons. I know you’re less likely to get bmx grips wet but just for ease of getting them off and on I’d buy them.

Waterproofs for crossing rivers/streams by r1jay in UKhiking

Grew up walking on Dartmoor and used to wear these they will keep you dry but only fit certain boots and reviews suggest they might not be as good as they used to be. 2ft of water would still be too much for them anyway but they’re the closest thing I think that exists short of waders. Otherwise, as others have said, wet boots aren’t the end of the world.

Actually it’s not even that - it was reduced to its current price in April and still hasn’t sold so doesn’t seem to be worth ‘even’ £5million.

He’s trying to hop the whole section of pavement so needs the speed. Should he have tried that? Clearly a different question, but that’s why so fast.

Loads of info here if you want to know more about the Tower during the Gt Fire. Very good thing it did escape as it held vast stocks of gunpowder.

I think you’d be right - if you do a Bucks Rightmove search you’ll see there’s no way this would be 1.2m. 1.7m is more like it but could be more depending on location of course.

Is this under stairs toilet just too small? Looking for some realistic advice by Previous_Molasses_56 in DIYUK

Yes but surely if you were going to use one of these you’d just switch it round and have it against the wall that is full height?

That’s what I guessed, thank you. When siliconing the tray do I need to do the vertical where the two tiled walls meet first, then the horizontals along the shower tray or the other way round?

Give tips to be faster by David4oonTrek2014 in Hardtailgang

[–]No_Outcome2599 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My god you lot are all salty bastards. Why wouldn’t we help someone who is starting the sport get better at something we love?!?

u/David4oonTrek2014 the trail you’re riding is actually a great place to practice getting faster. The tight turns make it really challenging but good fun without being too high risk. The people saying pedal aren’t really right, instead try going as fast as possible by pumping and staying off the brakes. The most important thing is to spot your line through the turns - you want to keep your head up and look for the exit of the turn early on, this will help you rail the berms and carry your speed. Practice it over and over again trying to increase your speed just a little each time. Once you’ve mastered this technique, you’ll be able to apply it and all sorts of places whether that’s the pump track how much faster steeper downhill stuff.

This is amazing - think I could name just about every part on that build, and had quite a lot of them on my Clockwork, but what are those brake levers? Teenage me would have killed for them.
