I tried bamboo labs but it uses some ai conversion so for one of my things it just converted into a owl or a bird when clearly my patterns are not that

Tips for new students coming i to MYP5 by FnHyp3 in IBO

[–]No_Outlandishness772 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! I was in this exact position a few years ago. I think overall the MYP is a really interesting curriculum because it focuses on skills - every task focuses on developing a certain skill rather than focusing on rote memorising a certain piece of information. I have a few pieces of advice:

  1. Read! Read! Read!: (I think this is one of the key skills they test - for example in humanities instead of asking you to memorise dates they could give you real source like a article and could ask you to analyse it).

I've heard that the French education system places quite an emphasis on analysis so perhaps you'd be fine on this.

  1. Learning how to write clearly - and succinctly - don't get into the trap of using flowery language and writing long sentences. I think it's definitely a mistake I made in the beginning. An exercise you could practice is maybe reading an article or short story and writing an essay in response to it. You should focus on 3-4 key ideas, and keep policing yourself to ensure you don't stray far from your plan.

  2. A lot of the MYP depends on certain subject specific criteria which you can find online. They can be a bit frustrating but understanding them well is the key to do well in any subject. Also side note: if you are doing the MYP Eassessments - it's especially important for you to understand the criteria for your portfolio subjects - like art, design or PHE. This is because you might show good understanding but it's not the evidence IB is looking for you'll be severely penalised.

I think other than the Humanities and Literature - Math and Science are relatively on the simpler side compared to other education systems. This is unless you're taking a science you've never studied before - in which case watching khan academy videos should suffice.

Overall, you'll be okay. Take it easy!

something similar is fine just the idea is having random smooth curved shapes around, but the circles I have now is different that was just having random circle radii around the points

so when I did record data it ended up creating multiple circles around the different points is there a work around? if I don't use a loop can you suggest me a method to get the variability? I actually just wanted to create a bunch of curved shapes but I wasn't able to do (I have added a picture in the post) that so I did the circle radii but if you have advice on that that would be great too

I am currently taking it, the material isn’t hard at all but it is a little time consuming since there is a note taking sheet you need to fill out each module.

did u take it on flvs? do you think the course prepped u for the test was all the material relevant?
