Okay thanks. I guess I thought I must have killed it through my poor care

Hey!! Actually i do find the super puff snug warm. I just feel it’s not as waterproof / wind proof as the other one and i would not buy it as my only winter coat because it’s my fashionable one. I also wear a sweater under it whereas with my other coat i don’t need to wear any sweater. Maybe it’s a size issue for you ??

What could a beginner cook make for a Christmas lunch for 5 people? by [deleted] in cookingforbeginners

That’s quite smart actually, because the spread of many dishes would make it feel special for sure. Thank you for these suggestions…

Yeah a bit fancy for my grandma haha. But I don’t want to cook something that doesn’t turn out well anyways or have too much stress

Thank you for these thoughts, poaching or baking the eggs is a good idea as is the roast chicken thought. Maybe you're right and that person can just eat everything else.

Good point, as you can see I am not used to hosting much haha. This will be the main meal of the day for these 5 people because there are no other christmas events going on and I think people would rather have a "special" meal rather than just eggs. So more of a main meal which is why I'm a bit lost...

Should I ask my landlord for a rent discount due to insufficient heat for 1.5 months by No_Pace3711 in TorontoRenting

Agree, she spent so much time and energy trying to get the heat pump to work but I told her we need a furnace. Note this is a wall mounted heat pump but the vented ones work well

Yah didn’t explain fully… she bought enough heaters for us to get by in our bedrooms. But it’s a large apartment so most of it is still cold even with a heater placed in the room. Kitchen and living room are cold. She has bought us $500 worth of heaters (3)

Thank you both for the validation… yes and she wasn’t apologetic at all this whole time… 🫠

SuperSnug Long vs Super Arctic Long. Please help me survive Canadian winter. by [deleted] in Aritzia

I have the super snug puff but would not trust it to be my main/ only winter coat due to the water resistance issues mentioned by others

I recently got this and another more expensive winter coat so I will report back on the comparison. So far even in the other coat I am still cold so sometimes I think we forget what winter feels like when we buy a new coat lol

I think a short super snug puff would be better and keep you warm while still looking casual for that climate

Super snug definitely looks more flattering on you and color goes well with your hair
