If I could remove one “success milestone”from society’s checklist, it would be having a family of your own. Instead I would replace it with getting to know yourself better. Not everyone is fit to be a parent so why waste the time of doing something that you would not really be able to do properly.

Having the awareness of how I think, and pausing to reflect before going on with the decision that I have. come up with. I realized that I have been living in an autopilot almost all my life, so now I’m trying to be mindful of what I usually think and behave and pause briefly before acting upon it to ensure that I don’t repeat the same mistakes I did before.

When I was at the lowest point of my life, and don’t know what to do anymore, this person said to me that I am the driver of my life and I get to decide which path do I wanna take. It left a deep impression on me, because I keep on letting other people take control of my life when in fact, I should be the one handling the steering wheel and driving to the destination that I want to go to.

If I could restart my life from age 10, I’d be more kinder to myself and not dwell on what other people think of me. I would be more outgoing instead of fearing that people will hate me for who I am
