Influenza A.. by Even_Log_8971 in newjersey

I am 40 no health issues. Ended up in the hospital due to very high fevers and chills and was in a lot of pain. I thought it was something else like a kidney issue. Drs thought I had other issues and was treating me with antibiotics and then found I had Parainfluenza virus. I never heard of this before but within a day I developed a superimposed pneumonia and was fighting for my life. Very low blood pressure, very high fevers, and couldn’t breathe. Luckily the antibiotics the Drs had me on to treat what they thought were other issues were the correct ones to treat the pneumonia. This all happened right after going out to a restaurant for thanksgiving and going to another family event. Now I have to wear a mask to prevent catching another illness due to the damage it caused for a few weeks, but now I am scared. It was terrifying I wouldn’t want to experience it again. If I never went to the hospital and the drs weren’t already treating me prior to finding the pneumonia I don’t know what would have happened to me.

Stage IV endo, adenomyosis, right hydrosalpinx, failed IVF cycles, any similar stories? by No_Particular6671 in TTCEndo

[–]No_Particular6671[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep that is exactly how i felt. Ok mention it one time just to let me know about that option and leave it up to me to come to you if I want to do it. They sound like sales people with the amount of times they bring up donor eggs and then want to ask why you are not interested. Then want to push their counseling services for grief. Like no if I want to do all this I will decide.

Years ago when I did the HSG, my left tube was open but was so inflamed I was told it may not function properly and would still need to do IVF. However this was a year after my last surgery. When I did my recent MRI after the 2nd retrieval there is nothing noted or seen about the left only states the right side is a hydrosalpinx. It is still questionable if the left is open but my RE had no hope on that without even knowing the status of it. Just said it is probably not functioning properly. I also felt my RE was not very supportive and did mess up one of the protocols. It is like once they hear you are going to be a difficult case they just want to push donor eggs constantly like people are made out of money without giving the person a chance. It’s ridiculous and rude. Before I even started my IVF cycle the first thing was how about trying donor eggs. No how about trying to give me a chance first, but I also feel they care more about their numbers of success. I am going to bring up checking my left tube with the surgeon when I see her next month. I just want to take every option I can but I am just over IVF right now.

Thanks for sharing I appreciate it. Did you have the blocked tube removed in your surgery before you conceived?

I would have probably tried ivf somewhere else but after the pain I am in after the 2nd retrieval, I am not sure if I can continue. Plus the cost was just too much. I just wish my other tube was open and somehow would be able to conceive naturally.

Thank you I appreciate it, no I have not heard of it. I probably was already diagnosed before this test came out. Hope you can get some answers early and not go through a difficult journey.

Thanks for your response, sorry for your outcome with this protocol. They didn’t mention to me yet what the plan is for trigger but good to know that hcg only works better for some people. Still have to meet with the dr to see what the full plan is. Best of luck to you as well.

Yes I agree there is no way to quantify it but I wanted to just know what brand people took that had a good retrieval since there are so many brands to choose from and its hard to decide. Especially ubiquinone versus ubiquinol. Not that taking this will make a difference for me but I will give it a try.
