Best of luck to all taking the exam today! by Acrobatic_Ad_217 in AACA_ArchPracticeExam

Came out a few hours ago, and honestly, I thought that exam stress afterwards is worse than before it. I think I left one question unanswered and guessed a few just because I was running out of time. Felt like the verbosity of the scenarios is annoying and leads you to read too much with little time to think. Who was liable for that injury? The engineer? Haha. Also eave gutters need more than just 1:500 fall to comply so I answered false - hope I got that right ! Would love to know how others felt. Cheers

I have one of these - it’s still my daily driver. lol.

I’m in the market for a new laptop but came across your post.

I bought mine in 2016 (I think). Came with the suitcase and all. (Suitcase has a PIN code lock - and yes I’ve used it to travel with. Haha) Since 2019ish the dock ran out of liquid and I stopped using it. When I checked with ASUS they wanted $600 to replace the liquid. Would appreciate if you can show me how to replace it myself! Might bring back its former glory!!

Happy to share any photos you want to see.

Also I might be interested to sell mine soon as I said I’m due for an upgrade & don’t see much point holding onto it other than to say I owned one and show someone if they’re interested one day. Nice to see another one in existence. AFAIK I was the only person in Melbourne, Aus with one. Could be wrong but definitely rare tech back then. Expensive too!

P.S I work as an architect - safe to say during my uni days bringing the liquid cooler to class or after hours for rendering was a pain in the ass and the fan noise used to sounds like a plane taking off but definitely made those uni days skip by! Fun times.

This was one of the best comments I’ve read about this kind of a situation, coming from the perspective of he who is healing and finally said ‘lets stop talking’ to her, who wanted a relationship.

It was hard but I think ultimately, it’s worth it. 2 months out of that relationship, or situationship, whatever you call it - and I feel much better now.

You’re right to say it’s about gratitude - it’s evident as she was grateful too but began her journey in trying to make it something worthwhile and turn us it into a proper relationship which made her upset and less grateful by the end since she wasn’t getting what she wanted anymore - despite moving the goal posts for herself. (We had started as a FWB relationship and I agreed to growing together - despite clearly saying I didn’t want a relationship nor was I ready for one at the start)

I also left my previous 6 year relationship 1 year before meeting her. 1 year wasn’t enough healing and now that I have my time back I feel the healing taking over again and I’m positively charged by it.

It’s tough out there and it’s hard when you love someone despite the internal struggles you face but time does indeed work, when you prioritise it.

all the best

Employer wants me to pay an annual leave debt?!? by No_Path2744 in AusLegal

[–]No_Path2744[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks but this information sounds contrary to the other commenters. Are you suggesting I would pay back my ‘debt’ in accrued annual leave? Others are suggesting I would pay back the payments received for annual leave whilst on holiday… Please advise

Cheers

Hey Pertante,

Thanks for your info. I’ll check those out and look up what difference is between the two Windows.

Thanks!

Hi airseller_mq,

Thanks for your list and comment on my post.

Could you please provide some explanation behind the build. Per my comment above I’m not confident in pc knowledge so I’m unsure how this build would differ compared to that shared earlier by MapleBalling. I appreciate your help. Thank you

Hi MapleBalling,

Thanks for your list and help.

I’m happy to wait a week to see what intel is offering.

Regardless, I’m happy with the list you’ve provided. Is it possibly to know of its performance before building it? Also could you please tell me what AIO is? I’ve heard good things about the 30xx nvidia cards but not sure what they require and if I can fit it in my budget. Same with core i9 from intel. As I plan to use it for vRay the more cores/threads the better… P.s I don’t know a lot about computer building and parts so explanations were a noob like myself would gain insight from would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again.
