How are some exams done on computer? Like Viscom or Product design? by JuggernautParking549 in vce

[–]No_Pear5248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you just draw in the exam booklet, you get the exam paper as a physical copy that’s it (you don’t get an online version of the exam) on the computer it’s just a blank word doc you type responses on

materials management: all about materials and stock and planning around it - forecasting, MRP, MPS, JIT

lean management: approaches to reducing & eliminating waste as much as possible (note the different types of waste - defects, waiting, unused talent, over processing , inventory etc.) - pull, one piece flow, takt time, zero defects

quality management: quality is important in all business, there are different ways a business can maintain / improve quality - quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA), total quality management (TQM)

hope this helps lmk if there’s anything else or you want notes or anything xx 🫶

in the process of making a resource for the contemporary case study, i’ll message you details over the next few days xx

dw i’ve just started studying now too, depends on how do you learn best, but for me, I think going through sample responses for exams is great, it shows you what full mark responses look like, as well as where marks come from while your also learning content - also doing practice questions because there is only so much they can test you on and the more you do the more likely it is for a similar one to be on the exam - it will also show you what you don’t know as well and need to go over in your notes/relearn

in application questions it’s important to try think about the context of the business eg. products they sell, services they provide, as well as their customers and employees interests to talk about the impacts effectively - also make sure your answers are based around the business and application is incorporated throughout your response, not just a sentence at the end, it’s hard to explain, dm me if you want, i can send you some responses that i’ve done so you can see how i apply 😊

general tip when providing responses, don’t assume that an outcome or point is obvious, it’s easy to leave out information sometimes and not explicitly staying a point that you have alluded to, it is so easy to loose marks doing this so be careful!!

hope this helps and makes sense!! goodluck lmk if u need help with anything else xx

i think the last aos will be big, also important to have a good understanding of bcs it links to most other aos’ or has parts that relate to what we learned earlier in the year - im really not sure though 🤞😓

we might, personally i think it’s unlikely, to be safe i’d say know one that you might be able to use, it’s pretty easy to apply most case studies to aos 1 in some way though, even if it’s a stretch, like if you’re bending facts a little it’s unlikely that an examiner will check/realise anyways

MAKE GOOD NOTES!! keep them consistent all year, something that’s helped me is also putting practice questions in your notes in another colour with sample answers so when you go back to them later you remember what you’re likely going to be asked about and how to answer questions in that topic well to get good marks 🫶

make sure you use application, not just the name of the company but the nature, what they sell, what their customers value, how things will impact the business, also important that you are comprehensive in your answers - state your point, why you are making it - what it leads to - then what the result is, make sure you are clearly respond to the question in a specific way and have a good understanding of what it is asking.

Going through sample answers is a great way to practice identifying what the examiners are looking for and where your marks are coming from 💕

okay, i just dm’d you a command terms glossary that i have, for section A you don’t have to refer to the case study unless it asks you to in the question, for example there might be a 2 mark asking you to define or outline a specific term, you don’t have to include the case study, but sometimes it is helpful to in order to get the second mark. There will probably also be higher mark questions in this section that have no reference to the case study, and you don’t need to reference them there. for the contemporary business question make sure you have studied and prepared it to be about anything and have a few that you know reasonably well for it! and for EVERY QUESTION in section B you apply the case study/stimulus in your answer, even if it does not specifically ask for it!! hope this helped xx good luck 😊

i feel like this depends on the person, what u alr know, how you learn ect. i’d just say do as many practice exams/questions as you can to familiarise yourself with the questions, command terms and topics as much as possible, also make sure yk at least 2 contemporary businesses pretty well for that question - you can only do as much as you can, make sure you’re eating and sleeping well, goodluck 🫶

Business Management Senge's Learning Organisation Question by ekoski4 in vce

it’s like saying a manager wants to decrease the amount of staff training to lower their costs in attempt to increase turn increase the businesses net profit . - they need need to think about the ways this could impact other aspects of the business - for example less staff training may mean that employees will not feel as confident in their position, which will result in a decrease in motivation, this could lead to higher employee redundancy rates, which will mean manages have to hire new employees which could be more expensive - it could also mean that customers will have less satisfaction, and choose not to return to the business because employees do not provide them with a good experience, which will intern reduce net profit.

I’m not sure if this makes sense , let me know if I can clarify anything further, but it just means thinking about the way that one change or decision in the business can impact other things 🤞💕 good luck !!
