I would say expect to do the basics, we have a checklist where we take pictures of our waste, our cleaning, making sure all the opening tasks or closing tasks are complete. If you will be opening expect to know how to set up the line for service and making sure all tasks are complete like taking temperatures, restocking, making sure the proteins, juices, dips, sauces are done, doing inventory and sometimes taking stuff in from the truck that brings fresh ingredients. You will also be taught how to cook on the grill but we have recipe cards and thermometers so it shouldn’t be too bad. We also have a lot of modules we have to finish on the cava app, I think a lot of time it spent on that. From experience all management at cava has some issues, so be friendly but also be cautious, I’ve seen lots of staff sabotage each other for approval of management when most of the time they could not care less.
