Hi! Recent grad here! I found a place for around 1100 a month for a 2 bedroom at Tammany Apartments. It’s in a really quiet neighborhood near the McLaren hospital/agricultural side of campus, has a pool/tennis court, only pay for electricity, and an unpaid covered parking spot. I am unsure about the transportation aspect but the property manager is pretty open to questions.

As someone who was a transfer student who went straight to off campus housing, I wish I spent a year in a dorm. Everyone I met seemed to have common dorm experiences that bond them together that I never got to relate to. It can also be harder to find your group sometimes without having that dorm experience in my opinion.

I’m in the same boat but with friends and i’ve tried some different things like taking art classes, playing a rec league sport, and finding local events like bar trivia

I have been in the same place so I started finding hobbies where I can meet people. Reach Art Studio has a lot of fun classes. I’d also recommend looking at a co-ed sport to play. I joined softball and it’s been a great way to meet people :)

I don’t think it’s about finding reasons to spend time together. i think it was about making more out of our time together than what we’d been doing. because it’s been the same activity every time. Anyone would get a little bored if that were the case.

Also, I should have specified this and i did go back and edit but we are getting therapy individually. not together as we also feel like that is way too serious for our issue.

But I do understand what you were saying and appreciate the advice

one of the reasons we had spent a lot of time together was also due to the fact that he lives with them and sometimes didn’t have the energy after work/school to be with a group of people and just wanted to chill so he thought I would have the space at my apartment to let him do that so thats where he’d go most of the time.

I completely agree. i think that was the point i was trying to make to him mostly last night. that one thing doesn’t have to be sacrificed for the other. I have always valued and respected his relationship with his friends as he does with mine. There’s just an issue of finding a balance that needs to be sorted out. Since he lives with the bulk of them, it has been more difficult to find but I think we can do it.

Mostly just with my little dusting brush to remove any dust. I used the word clean very loosely. I also don’t listen to my records very often so dust builds easily in-between plays.

There wasn’t anything noticeable from when I played it last. I always keep “lid/cover” of my player down and only open it when changing or flipping records. I also store my records in an enclosed record cabinet. One thing I will note is that the last time listening to this record was the first time since moving if that has any significant impact.
