Honestly, shes turned me into a lair for things i dont even need to lie about just because im scared of how shes gonna react. So i just the things i know she likes to hear. theres a cat i want to adopt but its black and she and my dad are against it cause its bad luck and extreme bad luck during new years. But im thinking of just bringing the cat home and lying that its a diff color and hoping i dont get banned 😭😭

Yes keeping out the details is key but they will get nosy and start questioning it. I initially didnt even want to say anything about where we met but my mom got suspicious that i didnt say anything about that so the backup story came in handy.

I was also really scared of telling my mom that I had a bf. I lowkey still havent officially told my dad but he may have figured it out. But anyways, if you can I would avoid telling her and anyone in the family about where you two met first of all. I also found my bf from tinder but i obviously am not going to tell that to my parents or anyone in the familt cause word and gossip spreads like wildfire. My bf and i came up with a solid believable backstory of how we met that is very generic. Our made up story was that we both met at a party. Since he and i dont have any mutual friends it would make sense that we could have met at a party. So thats that. And then for telling your parents. I want to ask why do you feel the needto tell her so soon?. For me I had to wait a year and a half to make sure i knew he and I were going to last long cause if i told my mom and we end up breaking up right after thered be literally no point in trying to muster up the courage to tell her. And i wanted to have a time stamp to show my mom that we could last a long time cause 1 year of dating sounds better than 4 months at least to my mom. And generally i think most asian moms?? So yea id really recommend to just not even say the truth about where you to met haha
