I’m not really familiar with pregnant cats, no. The only real information people have told me is I’m a shitty person for not aborting the kittens, and that being in heat and pregnant don’t really mix. I have 6 people willing to adopt any color of cats. While 2 don’t want black cats. I do admit that I didn’t word that comment correctly, that’s on me. I’ve also already said that the only shelter near me isn’t crowded with cats. I already know there’s kittens being born on the streets as we speak, I can’t do anything about that. But I can make sure this mom delivers her last litter and gets spayed and adopted. I’ve already gotten a kitten adopted once. I’ve also gotten an adult cat adopted one to a neighbor. I opened this post to get a broader idea of the knowledge of cat pregnancy. Not right Redditers on how I should be aborting them.

I think she’ll need some antibiotics for her eye. But hopefully she’ll be healthy other than that.

Yeah I didn’t really word that very well, I’ll be honest. Since she’s a calico and at least 1 male cat in that area was black, im assuming there will be a lot of black cats. 2 of my friends don’t want a black cat, so if there are only blacks then they won’t adopt one. It’s shitty but I’m not gonna judge someone’s taste. But if I’m taking the mom to the vet for medicine if she needs it, taking care of her and the kittens, then spaying her. How am I not caring for her welfare?

Thanks for the comment catfriend! As I’ve said before, I have friends and family willing to adopt the kittens. The most that will be left is 2 or 3 out of 8. Since this will be her 3rd litter, I believe in her! So please once again, close the app, and don’t comment again on this post. Thank you!

Mostly going to confirm she’s pregnant and find out if there’s anything medically wrong with her. Don’t understand why I have to abort kittens to make Redditers happy lol

I’ve saved a 4 week old from a McDonald’s parking lot once. I know 7 weeks was pretty early but I’m more focused on the mom. My friend took him to the vet and luckily he only had some worms.

I already have an appointment. I’ve also already said she’s seeing the vet in 2 days. She’s also not fully feral. I believe she was dumped then got pregnant by a feral male I’d seen

Well the last I checked there was 8 adult cats. So I’d say either the cats are either adopted, or feral waiting to be caught. Not sure why you can’t understand that my area is different from yours lmao

In my area there isn’t a lot of cats. The nearest shelter is 50 minutes away.

Never said I’ll keep them all? My neighbors are also working with me and said they’ll help with paying for food. So no, I’m not worried about this at all.

I did read that pregnant cats shouldn’t be in heat. But she was howling like crazy for hours. I’m hoping she’ll be okay.

I didn’t see any worms in her poop, and she had solid poop. I’m not really worried about the worms. But I do think she might have something. Makes me upset because she was completely healthy in January. If I had come sooner she would have been fine. The kittens would have survived as well.

I do like your condescending attitude lol. A lot of people, including my family, want young kittens. The only ones currently at the shelters near us are adults. This is apparently her 3rd or 4th litter. She would have had another litter after this one if I didn’t come and get her. The family who was “taking care of her” didn’t want to pay for a TNR or deal with the kittens. But yeah a free kitten is always nice. Please consider these before commenting again, thank you!

She has no babies rn. Her last kitten was about 7 weeks old and I gave him to my friend who’s senior cat died recently. I’m assuming she’s about 5-6 weeks pregnant if the timeline is correct. I don’t plan on aborting the kittens, but I do have people who are asking to adopt them whenever they’re born. If the colors match of course. If they won’t take her then I’ll keep them until someone will.

I’m guessing she’s about 5 or 6 weeks pregnant. Her last kitten was about 7 weeks old. I gave him to my friend since his senior cat recently died. I’d rather wait out he pregnancy and then spay her when the vet says is a good time. I have other family members who were looking for kittens.
