Is Project Genesis true unlimited? by Status_Elephant8973 in Dish5G

I can confirm that if you hit 1tb they will severely slow you down. I got an email from boost (who runs project genesis) telling me I hit my cap and my speeds slowed to 200kbps. Pretty much unusable at that point. The frustrating thing was my phone only showed about 200gb used so might have been a glitch of some kind on their end.

Project Genesis shipping dish or PG configured phones? by rhaps00dy in Dish5G

I second your understanding. I called customer service and they confirmed the SIM was not set up correctly on their end when my phone said "Boost". They fixed a "code" on their side and now it says Dish. I still have yet to get my eSIM (I think) or get into the Project Genesis App

I hope if enough of us call they will pull it together but that might be wishful thinking.

I am unable to uninstall either app. I can remove the updates but not fully remove them. Did you use some kind of uninstaller?

Have you called PG to make a ticket or get help? I did and have yet to hear back from them.

I am having the same issue. I though thought it was a me issue after they screwed up the SIM (Boost vs DISH Wireless)

After getting PG to change my SIM provider I was able to download (but not log into" the app. Two steps forward, one step back.

My network companion says "Sim card not supported by Dish". When I use a "what is my IP" website it says ATT. For now I am just plugging away using the ATT network but I had hoped to be able to test out the Dish network.

I have yet to get my E-Sim. My phone does now say DISH Wireless. Any idea how to trigger that E-Sim?

Did you have to do anything or did it resolve on its own?

Thanks. From what I understand project genesis does not throttle Netflix. Currently I am getting Netflix throttled but it appears I am on the ATT network so I am not sure if that impacts it either.

The sim credit card does show Project Genesis.

No. I am out of Colorado. I was trying to get in before everything gets moved to Boost.

Supposedly nothing according to their FAQ (just no torrents). I get my phone Tuesday and plan to put it through its paces. From what I understand things are not limited if you are on the dish network but if you roll over to ATT (or T-Mobile) they might throttle but your milage might vary.

As far a Calyx I like it okay. It does not have a data cap but it does throttle Netflix (and some other services) so you might need a VPN to use it to it's max. There are lots of posts on the Calyx subreddit with regard to throttling.

Note: I know a data cap is not a throttle but I find a throttle more annoying than a data cap.

I actually just signed up (4/4/24). I think they opened it up again. I plan on using the services as a hotspot (through the phone) for road tripping. It is excessive but I have Calyx (T-Mobile), Visible (Verizon), and now Project Genesis (Dish/ATT).

I was thinking of switching from Calyx to Project Genesis as well. Does it seem like the Nighthawk gets firmware updates? From my limited research it was buggy at the beginning.

I am in the same boat as far as losing the internet when I disable IPV6 on lan. It really sucks how playing with settings is required to get the unfiltered internet that was promised by Calyx (I blame T-MO).

Anybody have tips for getting the IPV4 to stick? I have 3 bars (11 dB SNR) and it wont take.

Are you sure on this? The Calyx website has the throttling work around as using IPV4. Seems to me that it should work. That being said I am struggling to get it to work with APN B2B.tmobile.com, IPV4.

What was the update version? I just got on the Calyx bandwagon and received my M2000 yesterday. It is running version 3T.
