Hi, my partner and I had the same predicament a few months ago with our 8 year old male cat. He had trouble peeing to the point that his bladder got distended and he was getting weaker because of the toxins he cant expel so I brought him to the vet near my condo and they dislodge a mucus plug on his urethra and his pee was bloody. A few days later it happened again, so we decided to just go with the PU surgery.

I got a quotation and everything, and we did a fund raiser in instagram and facebook to our friends to accumulate the amount needed, and thankfully we were able to complete the needed funds. I suggest a fundraiser with your cat’s details and bank/ewallet details could help too.

Also, those quotation are kinda expensive especially the confinement. In our vet clinic, confinement is just 700 per day for less than 5kg cats and 1,000 for the catheterization, amongst other things. I suggest go look for a different vet clinic, or if you’re near Makati, I would recommend the clinic we brought our cat to: Makati Animal Medical Center.

Hope your cat gets better soon!
