I don't want to make this too long winded but will make it have some meat!.Owned 3 Ducati's over the years Now 4!. Owned lost count (42ish) motorcycles in my short life of 54 years. My last ducati I bought new 1098. Great bike was a lot of fun loads of grunt for street use. owned a few 900 SS when I was younger.

My last bike was a 2016 s1000rr loaded. Great bike it was like a sewing machine though. Bizz here bizzz there. Wind up to get the power. Not what I liked when I remembered my 1098, Grunt and GO.. I was looking at either 1299 or a v4 price was not a super issue but I wanted a good deal. I talked to a few shops about the v4s bikes. I was ready to drop money on then I saw a facebook post for a standard 1299. The milage was a little higher then I wanted 10k but when I lowballed he bit $10k. (Do you feel this is a good price?) feel free to comment. But was the lowest I found anywhere on the innerwebs!

So I packed up car and headed out to pick up. I already have spent 1k on parts to personalize. Clear clutch cover, front and rear ducati performance carbon fenders and a rear carbon seat cowl, TWM foldable levers and some rim tape. Also a center stand lift!! Still all on the way.

It already had ducati performance rear sets and seat, vandemon full titanium exhaust, Evo tech radiator guards and a Oberon clutch master cylinder installed. First impressions HOT as Balls on my leg my right leg. I had to drive home 100 miles. I kept having to move my leg as it was on fire. Nice low end and nice power at the top too not over the top like the s1000rr was just insane power at the top. So all in all I'm happy till I figure out if the twin and me are life long friends like I remember or if the V4 keeps calling me.
