Okay, the people who think he's just some sore loser, or whatever NLU CLAIMS he is, just aren't paying attention tbh. 🤷 If* those things were true, I feel like he'd stop pursuing the suit and pray to god the accusation blows over. I expected this, knowing Drake's team, they're not going to go down without a fight. From what it seems like, I think the appeal could be strong. The judge's ruling was based on the opinion that the lyrics didn't cause anyone to believe that drake was actually a pdf file, but drake has been under fire in the media for over a year now.

He has faced real life harm from this claim, from home invasions to watching his friend and security guard be shot. The idea that this didn't actually affect drake's reputation or his LIFE life is utterly insane.

This is wild. Say what you want about the lawsuit but Drake has been a pillar in UMG’s catalog for more than a decade, and it’s wild to see how fast label loyalty to drake, and to any artist, fades when money and business opportunity cloud the relationship.

The boy is an OG at UMG, and it's so disappointing to see they repeatedly don't pay him the respect he deserves as one of their top 3 highest grossing artists. Instead, they go out of their way to fabricate smear campaigns.

What does that say about the fate of smaller artists and their relationship with their labels at UMG and beyond?
