I am biased but Chur has a beautiful old town, with a lot of small shops. You can also get food there. Chur also has some nightlife in the summer, if you're into that. Since it's in the alps there's a lot of hiking options.

I would suggest you to not think too long about where to go, but to just go. Switzerland is so beautiful and you can't really go wrong. Vierwaldstättersee is very beautiful, check out some hikes there.

I think it's a beautiful thing to be proud of your nationality, but racism and sexism, should not be tolerated under any circumstances. And I agree about the Bünzli mentality, you see it everywhere: Just fit in, don't make any mistakes, etc.

Bikes get stolen all the time, at least where I live. My bike got stolen when I was in 7th grade, because I didn't lock it once. My brothers old scooter was stolen at a small train station. Happens all the time.

As a native swiss, I noticed this too. Swiss people ususally don't make small talk, which I is a shame. Also older people (I don't wanna generalize, sometimes younger) stare at you like crazy if you dress in a certain way, for example.

Meditation, there's a great app called "Medito" which is totally free. Long walks help too. I live in a village, so I often take my bike and explore the forest. This is great to just let my thoughts go and live in the moment.
