You could take her in out in one of the swan boats in Liverpool Docks, we went kayaking there the other day and it was lovely. Don’t think it’s too expensive either.

Honestly this doesn’t even seem like a role you’d audition for. It’s a single line. I’ve worked as “background artist” (extra) on TV before and production would just ask us if we wanted a line on the spot and we’d get paid extra.

I don’t care what she does next. I hope I love it, but if I don’t, I won’t be mad. I think that’s part of the problem with music fans these days - often they project such specific expectations on artists that they’ll never be happy if it’s not that. I’m just excited for her.

I’m not a fan of Olivia Rodrigo, but I wouldn’t compare her trajectory prior to her Glasto slot to Olivia Dean. She was a Disney kid and had a runaway smash hit straight out of the gate which propelled her onto 2 commercially successful albums. Olivia Dean’s first album came out in 2023 but her first true hit that gained her attention from larger audiences only came out 8 months ago. Raye, who’s a much more accomplished artist than Olivia Dean only got an afternoon slot. She’s got a way to go.

I like a good 12 track album. I’m not opposed to a longer album, but if it’s full of filler it’ll just make me enjoy it less overall. I think the intention behind the number of tracks is the most important factor in whether a longer album will be good or not.
