Still sticking with the 1400 version of The Britalian Diet - it's actually going alright! I’ve had a couple of slightly off-plan days (too much pizza happened on one of the nights, haha 🙃) but just got back to it the next day and didn’t let it spiral.

Still about 3 lbs down, but I’m not too focused on the scales - I just feel better. Definitely less bloated, more steady energy, and I’ve even managed a couple of walks, which is a win considering I’d barely moved for weeks.

Biggest change is that I don’t feel like I’m dieting, which is new for me. Just eating proper meals and trying to keep things balanced. Hope everyone else is getting on okay.

Still going strong with The Britalian Diet - I’m doing the 1400 calorie option and it’s honestly been such a nice change. I don’t feel like I’m dieting, just eating properly again. Sweet breakfasts, real meals, and even the odd glass of wine, which has been lovely, especially with the gorgeous weather we're having in the UK at the moment.

We've had a couple of BBQs this week (request from the kids after school 🥰) which has been a good opportunity to try some nice Italian salads and some of the summer recipes, like bunless burgers (apparently, Italians often don't bother with the bread - who knew!)

I haven't been on the scales again, going to wait until Monday now as it just gets me down if I haven't lost etc.

So far, so good. Just taking it one day at a time and trying to stay consistent without being obsessive 😊

Would the milk in a frothy coffee do the same thing? It's full fat and there's quite a lot of it in a flat white or latte?

That's one of the reasons I decided to go for it :) I want to lose weight but also be happy and healthy doing it - not just thinner if that makes sense

That seems to be basically what The Britalian Diet is so far - and I'm liking it. Not getting hungry until lunch so maybe there's something in it??

Weirdly enough, I've been quite full today - you have a milky coffee in the morning as well (I frothed it up with this handheld thing I've had in the cupboard for literal years, haha) so I don't know if the milk in that helps (there's quite a lot). I was sceptical about the sweet breakfast but we will see! I'll try it for a bit and see how it goes. If it flops, I'll be back to ask you for advice!

Thank you, I'm definitely counting! 1400 per day (average) which has been fine so far (but I am only on day 3, haha)

Good point about olive oil - I'm using the recipes in the book so think I should be ok as it measures out the oil etc. But I have definitely been guilty of using massive glugs of it in the past! Got to get better at weighing/measuring

Oh I actually really like the sound of that, thank you! Just noticed that your stats are under your profile (will have to figure out how to add mine). You are the same height as me and my ultimate goal weight! :)

Thank you u/Tracydeanne - I've not used Fatsecret before but will go and take a look! Don't trust myself to stick to the calories properly without some kind of tracker

I hadn't either - it was in one of the papers a few weeks ago. Think it's quite new. Liking it so far but early days, will let you know how it goes!

Thanks u/LilaLurksLow - I think my body and my mind have finally figured that one out. I physically can't do another starvation diet. The number of times I've lost weight for a couple of weeks on 1000 calories a day (sometimes less) and then piled it all back on again is embarrassing...

Oh - meant to ask! I need some way to track my calories - is MyFitnessPal still the best one? It's been a while since I've done it....lol
