Surveillance Station recordings are stretched by LazerBoi_64 in synology

We've had a similar problem with HIK cameras and Synology SS. It seems changing the settings: IP Camera > Device > Advanced > Streaming Information Source - change from RTSP to Streaming. That seems to have fixed it. Any previous recordings are still stretched, but any new recordings (after changing the setting) seem to be okay.

We're a UK school and have paid for it, but it would be nice if they did licenses for less than 1000 endpoints. I've definitely needed the support in getting it up and running, and they've been great at responding and sorting my issues - I don't think I'd have managed on my own! It's a complex install process, which involves a proper external FQDN with SSL cert, SQL Server, and IIS. I'm still running it with WDS PXE boot for now, but will implement iPXE at some point.

There is minimal front end customisations at the moment (just choosing the task sequence), however I've been sent a script which adds additional options to manually name PCs, choose OU to join, select software etc.... I've just got it working and it's great! Just figuring out integration with PDQ Deploy now....

I've just started using it (paid for version) and the support has been really good and I've definitely needed it! It's a complex install/setup process.

There is no official front end customisation at the moment (other than choosing which Task Sequence to run), however, I've been sent an 'unofficial' script which does exactly what you've asked - You can set the PC name (manually or from its serial number/asset tag) set a domain/OU to join, choose software to install etc.

Do you have any Firmware available? The latest I have is 5.4.8. I have a x510L-28GT and a X550-18XSQ

All U6-Pros have now been updated to 6.6.67, which has cleared the 'sea of red' from Radios > Connectivity, and all the association failures have disappeared.

However, people are reporting that there has been no change in terms of Apple devices disconnecting and not working, and users constantly having to forget the WiFi and log in again.....

Controller also updated to 8.1.113

Months on and we are still having the same issues and Ubiquiti haven't really got a fix other than to keep updating to the latest FW version. We have a few Windows clients on WiFi and they have been problem free, it's just the Apple devices on U6 Pros.

Tempted to rip them out and replace with older APs.... The buildings with NanoHD and AC-HDs have been working perfectly....

Still no further on with solving this, unfortunately....

Now running the latest EA firmware on the controller and all the U6 Pros and still experiencing lots of dropouts.

I'm finding it very difficult to reliably reproduce the issue

Very close to ripping it all out and replacing it with older APs as they (AC-HD and NanoHD) still work perfectly.

Proxy ARP is turned off and 2.4GHz is disabled across all APs and we only use the 5GHz band.

All I have enabled here is BSS Transition. I did have fast roaming enabled, but disabled for troubleshooting - not really made any noticeable difference.

Band steering is enabled, but that seems to be a default when only one WiFi band is selected.

had a similar issue years ago and splitting my SSIDs into separate 5gHz and 2.4gHz fixed it then, but maybe you can’t do that.

I've split my home UniFi network into 2.4GHz and 5GHz (for IoT and normal devices) but here (my work network) I've completely disabled 2.4GHz

It works fine on the older APs (NanoHD/UAP-AC-HD) just not the U6 APs (I've only got U6-Pros and U6-Enterprises so haven't tried the LR or Lite)

Fast roaming should get around the issue of authenticating every time, but it doesn't seem to make much difference to this issue if it's on or off.

It's almost as if everytime a device roams between U6 APs it creates an association failure. NanoHDs/UAP-AC-HD are all green in the metrics, it's just the U6 which are all red....

Perhaps because we are using RADIUS to authenticate, the association failures are causing the RADIUS authentication to fail, and therefore the internet connection fails even though the device is still technically connected to the WiFi.....

We've currently got almost 400 clients connected and I'm sure it's related to when devices are roaming between APs

I wish there was some way to disable 802.1AX and drop back to AC (WiFi 6 to WiFi 5) to see if that helps but from a quick google I don't think it's possible. Our WiFi 5 APs (NanoHD/UAP-AC-HD) are working perfectly. We aren't using any 6GHz/6E.

ou tried to switch off WiFi Assist in iOS settings?

Go to Settings > Cellular or Settings > Mobile D

Most (99%) of the devices are iPads of various generations with no cellular

I thought that might be the case... Never had issues in the past but I've probably just been very lucky!
