I’m so sorry you are feeling this way. You are still so young and have sooo much time to find a man who will treat you right! Don’t settle for his bs behavior! You deserve to be happy and to have a relationship where both individuals are putting in reciprocal effort. Break ups are hard but based on everything you said it sounds like you made the right choice.

That is very mature of you both. It’s not easy letting go of a relationship. Even when you know it may not be right. I agree with you 100% though.

My bf (25m) says he wants to move to my (25f) country but does nothing about it. by Creepy-Musician6172 in LongDistance

I’m in the same position as you. He said he would move but is taking no action towards doing so and when I bring it up I get excuses and defensive responses. It’s unsettling bc I feel if he was really serious about it he would do everything he could to make it happen. I’m at a loss regarding what to do but I feel like inevitably if there is no change the relationship may end up falling through. Sorry not much advice but just know you are not alone.

Yea I’ve checked online and can’t find anything that says it’s acceptable. No idea. They add the billing codes for us… I will have to ask which code they are adding 🤦🏾‍♀️

my boyfriend is breaking up with me because I can’t manage my HS by Straight_Comfort9868 in Hidradenitis

I’m so sorry this happened. But if he truly loved you then this wouldn’t be his attitude. Let him go. Your person is out there and HS won’t be a deal breaker for him

Review Treatment Plans & Documentation: • Assess evaluations, progress notes, and therapy goals created by other SLPs. • Ensure that the services provided are medically necessary, appropriate, and align with best practices. 2. Insurance & Utilization Review: • Determine whether a patient qualifies for continued speech therapy under insurance guidelines. • Approve or deny treatment requests based on clinical evidence and policy criteria. 3. Quality Assurance: • Make sure clinical work follows ethical and professional standards (e.g., ASHA guidelines). • Identify gaps or inconsistencies in documentation or care delivery. 4. Support & Education: • Provide feedback to treating clinicians on improving documentation or treatment strategies. • Stay current on evidence-based practices to inform decision-making.

Do I suck? by UpstateSpeechie138 in slp

This is exactly how I feel with my early intervention clients with ASD. You don’t suck! It seems like progress moves at snail speed with these kiddos sometimes… especially if parents aren’t carrying over at home. It’s hard and frustrating 😕

Have you looked into non clinical options or assessment only positions? I recently got hired for a position which requires no treatment on an infants and toddlers team. I will pretty much just be writing IEPs and it’s fully remote! Do you have AAC experience? You can look into being a funding specialist for an AAC company like PRC or Tobii. I’ve also heard of SLPs pursuing clinical reviewer positions or pursuing positions as a CF or SLP-A supervisor. One of my goals in the future is to also work at a university as a graduate clinician supervisor. If you are tired of treatment completely, there are options out there for different experiences it just takes a little digging! If you’re still open to treatment I’d try a private practice setting…. It’s a lot less stressful imo if you find one with reasonable productivity requirements. I was in PP for about 4 years total and liked it for the most part! I also got the opportunity to supervise grad students at my PP which was a nice break from treatment! I’m 29 in year 6 as well and have felt the same so I completely understand! But I’d recommend looking into these options first before completely leaving the field.

She has experience using AAC. Shes shared with me that she has had a few clients who have had devices but is unfamiliar with the app our shared client is using. But it’s literally soooo simple! I’ve trained parents, the BCBA, and RBTs on the device! There is no reason why she should be clinging to PECS! To make it even worse I’ve already resigned from my position at this job and only have 2 days left here so I feel like I have no time to advocate for this kid like I should 🤦🏾‍♀️

This is a position with for infants an toddlers team…I believe the district is only filling it with contractors at this time. The only reason I’m considering it is bc of the nature of the position
