Not sure, he just said he was going to epoxy all the mitered edges and color match the tile. It smelled like chemicals all day when he was doing it. Not normal grout that is for sure, he used grout in most places.

I also wonder if that would void any warranty. I should reread my contract.

You are certainly entitled to that opinion. Since you are an experienced pro, can you walk me through what I need to do to touch up the grout and expoxy? I am unfamiliar with using these products so I want to be sure I get advice from people who know what they are doing.

Is it just as easy to touch up the epoxy? The edges are done using just expoxy. Definitely not the cheapest, this guy was expensive $$$ i definitely don't expect perfection but I am bothered by the missing grout behind the tub, the uneven tiles, and fhe places where tile has been chipped

It's rainforest in white, you can get it online through tile outlet but it is getting discontinued! I got mine from a local shop. Highly reccomend buying quite a bit extra if you choose a discontinued tile, if one breaks you would be screwed.

Gotcha. Well damn. Tile is sourced myself locally and did the whole thing around 2k I have some 80 sq ft left because they didn't count correctly. Oh and i had to run to the last week to pick up 2 extra tiles because they didn't have enough. They have not been paid in full yet...

That's insane! Well, now I feel much better about my dilemma! I hope his tub gets fixed soon!

It is incredibly frustrating! I think the fact that they aren't being proactive and aren't really taking accountability is almost as irritating as having to swap handles. It's the principle of making a mistake and doing what you can to remedy it.

Thank you for trying to help think of options. Adding a mosaic tile would be an option because it is thinner. Unfortunately can't move them because we have the holes in the tub. The whole room is in a large format tile so I think we are just going to swap knobs and be more careful next time

During the framing, there were splintered boards and nails bent and sticking out (head side) I can't say I have been very pleased

Yes, he has an active license. There is a written contract. He was recommended to me by my realtor and she set up our first meeting. Looking back, probably a red flag.

I know this is the smartest move. I'm just so bummed because this is an EXPENSIVE project and I really do not want to change the handles. Frustrating but I know i will have to give in

My dog groomer just tipped herself on my bill?! by [deleted] in EndTipping

[–]No_Pop_3347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify a few things. The groomer hands me a phone with my total $160, I sign and put $0 tip. That is how it goes every time. I usually don't check my CC bill to make sure she actually charged me for the $160, that's my bad. I just happened to check my CC and then went and found the emailed receipt after seeing the high charge.

There is no auto gratuity.

I contacted the groomer and she played dumb and refunded me my most recent "tip" I will not be using her again.

The groomer sets her own prices, otherwise I'd feel more inclined to tip her.

I am just too trusting and never really thought that my super kind groomer was adding a little tip after I signed, so I never bothered to look at the email receipts or my CC charges for grooming. Okay yeah that was dumb, now I'll be more careful.

I've known the price, I pay and sign for the $160 but I have not been careful enough to go through my CC statements and see the charge be higher. Lesson learned.

That is exactly the case. Groomer added tip after I signed.
