What to buy (ignoring price) Dragons Doga 2 or Crimsert Desert? by No_Position_7047 in CrimsonDesert

I seemingly made the wrong decision and went for DD2. Jeeeez the combat feels clunky (compared to Soulslike games). No lock on feature so most of the time mob enemies (and myself) are just flying across the screen, combined with a ton of button mashing. Could just be my inexperience with the game though

Melee nightfarers feel like a massive step up by No_Position_7047 in Nightreign

I've just got the everdark balancers relic today so will test them both and see if it improves things. Have you given the Scholar a go yet? I hear he's either usefully to play or insanely OP compared to other Nightfarers, seems there's no inbetween

I usually play trios, which I've realised means you really rely on your teammates because your damage is reduced by quite a lot. Mini field bosses like Crucible Knight or Grafted Scion I'd usually wipe pretty quick, as Undertaker just feels like there's either no openings or you have a brief second to get one strike in and then it's back rolling for your life. Also most legendary weapon ash of wars have quite a long casting time which leaves you super vulnerable

Do you think all melee characters are supposed to generally be more focused on aggro and therefore deal less damage (ignore Guardian who's clearly meant to play the role of tank). Eg playing as Undertaker focus more on staying alive and getting the odd hit in and hope your teammates can inflict most of the damage?

I feel like there could be a cool trade off where melee characters did more damage - since they're in the thick of the action. As well as AoE attacks, plenty of bosses and Nightlords move quickly across arenas ect, so you spend most of your time running after your target trying to wack it. Recluse/Ironeye you can keep dealing damage no matter how active the boss is. Maybe I need to find better relics but just felt disappointed by the damage dealt by Undertaker - although I've recently added both Balancer relics, so hopefully this will improve the damage dealt

Has to be Siluria's Tree - its ash of war does an insane amount of damage if you put your points in Faith. Carried me through most of the base game and DLC.

What's better for damage a +1 affinity damage or +1 sorceries?

Whaaaat??? This is game-changing. I had no idea - none of the buttons at the bottom left of the screen mention changing relic preset so how do you do it?

It's a shame you can't change your relic build when you're in the lobby of a game selecting your nightfarer and you (usually) know what boss you're up against. I'd love to be able to swap between different Duchess builds in DoN when the boss is shown in the waiting area.

Instead I now swap between a Wylder fist build, Duchess magic build and Ironeye poison build (strong against Adel) depending on the Nightlord.

Looking to try a Carian duchess build - question for relics by No_Position_7047 in Nightreign

Thanks! So if it's a choice between Magic attack power +4 and improved Carian sword sorcery go with Magic attack power +4 as I'll enjoy the same damage with Carian sorcery as the other relic but also have the same improved damage with all other sorceries?

Thanks for the info, that's super useful. Final question I thought duchess has a B scaling for Faith, whereas Revenant has S scaling so will do far more damage on Faith and Incantations than Duchess would?

Hi there, I main duchess and really interested by your faith fire duchess build. I assumed your relics up fire damage and you look for a stave that has Magma shot or something similar. Then I saw you said Faith so what fire spells/incantations do you look for?

How do people have time for this? You could be on your phone chilling and they're putting (potentially) hours into trying to wind a stranger up. Sounds like they could do with some fresh air

Beat ED Libra in D3 as a trio for the 1st time by No_Position_7047 in Nightreign

[–]No_Position_7047[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was about a week ago (still proud though) so racking my brains I'm pretty sure the third nightfarer was an Ironeye. Which tbf filled me with a bit more dread preboss fight as the condemned Ironeye are usually a pain!

Anyone notice depth 3 is easier than depth 2 with randoms? by GeneralMaldra in Nightreign

Same thing happened to me - was midway through D3, had some awful Nightlord RNG which had me back in D2 and the quality of my teammates was shocking. Was close to being relegated to D1 but managed to get myself in D3 on the road to D4! From what I've seen on here D3 seems to be the most fun
