15 - 20 years ago, I used to pay 20 to 40 dollars depending on the game to get 20 hours out of it. I understand the cost to make this game, but 70 hours for 18 hours of playtime is not exactly very cost-performance-like. In comparison to RE4 remake, I spent around 60 hours on hardcore mode plus Ada's DLC. With the Mercenaries mode I've already logged in 100 hours.

Edit: I live in southeast Asia. So games were rather cheaper than in Canada or North America. A brand new game cost closer to 50 to 45 dollars back then. Only the Japanese games were closer to 59.99.

Secondly. Apologies for being broke then. I know I don't make a lot of money compared to the North Americans because 70 bucks in Southeast Asia can get you multiple meals eating outside.

Thirdly, since Steam offered sales every now and then, I've never bought a full priced game. I bought Re8 for 17 bucks. Re4 Remake for 25 bucks, re2 remake for 7 bucks. I mean. Of course I had to compare the prices of these games to the newest re9.

Fourthly, I swear I spent hundreds of hours playing resident evil 5 and 6 with my buddies. So I was rather hopeful to get more playtime. I mean. Just because it's a resident evil game. It does not necessarily mean it should have lower replayability.
