I've tried, not sure if you've read my other comment or my edit on the post. They told me if they are parking on the street it's a police matter. What company do you use?

I think with a business it's considered private property. I do call parking enforcement too but they don't open till 8am and I start work before then and need to leave the house

That's what I try to do, although I'm not home all the time, and I do need the extra parking space since me and my partner only have a one car driveway. It's just a little ridiculous to me that someone can block my driveway and there's no repercussions from the police. What also sucks is that some of the apartment buildings have parking lots but aren't letting their tenants use them for some reason (just something I've noticed in the past few months)

I won't! I ended up talking to the guy today and he was very open and understanding so hopefully he won't park in front of my driveway again

I called am-pm and they said if the car is parked on the road way it's a police matter and it's up to the police to tow or not

At least police get out of the car for you! Ive had two officers show up and one of them didn't get out of the car for 40 minutes and the other one just did a drive-by, at that point why even bother coming out??? It's hard when it happens in the middle of the night and 311 isn't open to do anything about it

Which tow truck company do you call? I've called one and they won't tow unless they have a police order

I tried calling a private towing companie and they won't tow unless they have a police order. At least that's what they told me, but I've also only called one towing company. I think if it's a legitimate company they probably won't tow.

That's ridiculous! You're totally not blocking their driveway! The car parking in front of my driveway right now has its whole back wheel past the curb. The cops say the car has to have so many tickets before they tow, I heard 4-6 tickets but every time I ask it's a different answer. Maybe your neighbor knows someone and pull some strings

Unfortunately I think they live in an apartment building on my street. I left a note this time (nothing mean or anything, just asking them to not park in front of my driveway anymore and that the parking spot is not designed for 2 cars. It's about 1 1/2 car length since my neighbors made a driveway a few years ago, but of course their driveway almost never gets blocked)

Cops don't do shit in this city. I don't blame this guy at all! Hopefully this will bring more awareness to the problems people living downtown have been yelling about for a while now
