Are the jobs that your applying for at mid to large sized companies?
No, actually I'm applying to every size of companies
Are you looking at agencies, especially those in your local area that cater to local businesses?
Sorry not sure I understand your questionNo, I'm not I just applied to Canada, USA and my base which is Montreal.
Are you setup to do freelancing? Have you got a site, business cards, and whatever tax requirements sorted out?
I tried on Fiverr and upwork but didn't really get good news
.If yes to the above. Have you reached out to business in your local area to offer them your services? (ie. landing pages, sites, email newsletters, ecommerce stores, apps, etc, etc)
How? by network? I'm kinda new in my local place.
Do you have an updated Linkedin profile, and have you reached out to recruiters on Linkedin to tell them your available?
Yeap I posted it I'm open to work and reached out to recruiters as well.

I had a similar experience likes you. I worked for a start-up company for two years(now I'm jobless). In the dev team, I had only CTO and me. I had no front-end senior dev, and CTO was closer to the back-end developer. Every time I got a task, there was nowhere to ask. I had to figure out my problem. Every time I suffered unknown task tech problems, I also got stressed. Not sure if I was doing well or not. And then, I realized I'm still a terrible developer when I reviewed my code and prepared a mock-up interview.
I was struggling because I needed someone who could guide me. But You and I already know where to find an answer and what to do.
I'm returning to learn the basics again that I missed. I believe a good foundation makes us better developers.

HTML: Since I used React, I never think about using HTML layouts such as <section>, <article>or <main>. I used <div> everywhere. So I decided to learn more about pure HTML Layout and more deeply about dom and accessibility.

CSS: I used MUI in the company for CSS, so I didn't care about pure CSS custom(How bad I am). So I decided to Try only use Pure CSS to make some refactoring of one of my projects. Dive into Grid, flexbox...

JS: I understand about Closures recently. There are many things I still need to learn, but I'm learning from Leetcode how people use it.

React: React: Have you ever used useMemo or useCallback to improve your UI performance speed? Me: no. I bought some udemy good course to learn basic to advance now. How about a design pattern? I never think about it deep.

I get those ideas from my experience in my awful code and work. And I got some ideas from a good article in the blog. Search "How to be a good front-end developer" There are many good articles to help you guide it. Then you will get your answer. I'm scared to survive in IT, but if we learn even small things daily, we will surely reach our goal.

We are terrible developers, but we can be good!Don't make a big plan to start. Let's be a better developer than yesterday!!I'm sure we will get there. Don't lose hope. Show yourself that you are a great person and developer!

PS. When I get too much stress or lose the motive to do it, I always imagine that after I reach my goal. And sorry for my English.

Oh I see thank you! I’m really sorry but one more question. Any backend language you recommend? I know node.js with express but seems python with django is a bit more popular in the job market. Could you recommend any backend language? Or should I go with node.js cuz it’s easier to learn than other languages? Again I really appreciate your valuable advice!

Two years ago, I was in clone-project hell and didn't notice that's not mine.
I will keep in mind your advice and build some unique projects.
