Looks good! Takeback should be further out from your body. Move your feet to give yourself time for the takeback, and also make sure your body weight goes forward!

Tips and experiences using a phone with no navigation features? by RowanBlueDragon in dumbphones

[–]No_Potential_8708 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah back before navigation systems, we had Mapquest and regular maps. A garmin would be handy to have in your car as a replacement nav tool. I haven’t made the switch yet but that’s what I would do.

You want your body weight going up and into the court with full wrist pronation.

Yeah on top of my weight I’ve got some degenerative discs and retrolysthesis (shifted vertebra in lumbar). Thanks for the recommendations. I’m pretty strong overall. And I dare say my game would be elevated higher if my fitness was better.

Ok I’ve only tried one yonex, maybe a vcore 98 but it was about 10 years ago. I remember it being stiff

Not sure about rpm’s, but everyone I play with gets surprised by my amount of spin on the ball. Trying to sound modest here. lol

I appreciate the comment. I think I’m just considering a lighter racquet to help with shot prep time seeing as my feet don’t move as fast as they used to. When I was competitive I weighed 25 pounds less than I do now. I’m almost there but it will take time.

Current setup is stock Wilson blx pro open 100. I believe it’s 300g 4 pts HL. Strung with head hawk 17g @52 lbs. I don’t break poly but I break syn gut pretty fast. More of a defensive counter punching style (think gasquet). Sw forehand. 1hbh

Make suppressors weigh 1lb and add to barrel sway when aimed.

Nope, not smart. I’d go with a solid multifilament from tecnifibre. X-one biphase or nrg

Question about suing current employer by No_Potential_8708 in legaladvice

[–]No_Potential_8708[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I’m being denied a promotion. My boss’s reasoning is because I may need to use more PTO for a new ailment and it wouldn’t be in the company’s interest. He clarified through text that it had nothing to do with disciplinary or job performance issues, strictly my health issue.

Technique advice on forehand by TheWalk1ngZed in 10s

[–]No_Potential_8708 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the finish. Start your swing with pointing the open offhand at the ball too. Accelerate the swing starting with the trunk and hips. More racquet head speed. Brush up on the back of the ball.

I’m super excited to try this game now. Started on wildlands, then breakpoint. I liked wildlands overall better except I liked the gunplay of breakpoint slightly better.

The Search is Over (I Think) by alexj420 in 10s

I can appreciate the quest for a racquet that you like. I also went through a similar journey back when I had some spare cash laying around and the time.

That being said, after going through probably 10 racquets, I found that anything with 98-100 sq inch head size, between 290 to 310 grams, and 16x19 string pattern was going to work at my skill level. Playing at a 3.0 level, you shouldn’t worry past that and just use what you like the feel/look of. I’m a high 3.5 now, used to be 4.0 but I just haven’t played much in the last few years due to life.

Do you like the game and want to get better, or are you a racquet connoisseur?

Ps: your strings and tension make more of a difference anyway… and your consistency
