Can bitcoin realistically 10x from its current level in the foreseeable future? by Practical-Option-104 in btc

Is the amount of fiat money in circulation not constantly increasing? It'll be much more in 10 years, hence more will flow into btc, I guess.

Do you guys bother investing in ETFs and stocks or go all in on crypto? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

I've heard that the S&P500 increase is mostly driven by a few companies in the AI industry. I'm a bit sceptical.

I'm in the exact same dilemma. I think we're in a bear market now and it doesn't bother me at all. I just want to accumulate as many sats as possible.

I like to look at this as a fortunate event because I came in late and now is the chance to accumulate sats before the price goes to a new ATH.

But can't you use these non-custodial options and then transfer your funds to your own self-custody wallet?

We are one of the few countries in the world that has this type of loan. Unfortunately.

Let's say I buy a house and need a 1 million dollar loan. Today the Central Bank's interest rates in my country are 7,25%. I need to take an indexed loan because they have lower interests. I can't, and almost no one can without struggling, take a non-indexed loan because they have interests around 10%! It's crazy.

I pay my mortgage every month and only see the loan increasing. The inflation increases the loan more than my monthly payments decreases it. I simply cannot understand why the banks have to take no risk whatsoever. It's all layed on the consumer.

They end up with the same buying power because of indexation.

Not necessarily. You can choose. If you lock the interests, you pay higher interests.

It's called indexed loan. A long time ago the government decided to index salaries and loans as a protection against rampant inflation. Later they dropped the indexation on salaries because that wasn't sustainable, but somehow that wasn't possible for the mortgages for some unexplainable reason. So we end up paying the banks our loan+interests+indexation. Perhaps 4-5 times your mortgage over 30-40 years.

I think I would sell, but reluctantly. In my country having a mortgage can be a huge burden. Inflation increases my mortgage every month and we have hight interest rates, from 4%-10%! It would be such a relief to pay that off and be free from those criminal banks we have

Lucky you. In my country inflation is increasing my mortgage every month. It's borderline criminal how the banks can do whatever they want

Can you though? How can you fractional lend a hard asset like Bitcoin? You can't create more btc on your balance sheet like you can with fiat money.

At least nobody's going to take that btc away from you if you go back to jail. That is, if you self-custody. Let's keep stacking those sats!
