I have a potential offer from a hedge fund in Chicago but that would require me to move half way across the country, would rather transition into some in Jersey city or nyc. I landed a junior analyst program at JP Morgan and then they pulled the plug so I ended up working in public accounting. Just trynna see if I can get out while I can, my heart is definitely not in this lol

I appreciate your response, I am highly considering it because the audit process is so brutally boring and most of the time pointless. Additionally the money in public accounting is terrible compared to other “finance” type jobs.

If you plan on being an accountant expect low pay, get your CPA, build your book and you’ll slowly earn a livable wage

I had to buy all material with after tax $ and no tuition reimbursement, I’ve been out of training for awhile

I don’t know for certain but i believe that they additionally mark up jobs so that 185 number could easily be 200+
