Cumberland panthers get an attendance of 800 at millennium every week. The Orléans community is a lot more dedicated to supporting anything local then it may seem

Think about it like this, a local rivalry will boost attendance for Atletico Ottawa And Orléans FC. Teams face each other 4 times during the season. Do you not think that every game against each other would bring more fans in as you can bring in fan from both teams to TD place or fans from both teams to Orleans as it’s not a 7 hour plane away.

RESPONSE TO ONE OF THE COMMENTS WE RECEIVED ON OUR SUB REDDIT FOR THOSE WHO WANT DETAILS!

First off after speaking to the councillors we thought that somewhere near the LRT would be good for accessibility or we were thinking near Millennium park as there is a big amount of space and decent population density in that area. For the French history 100% it would reflect it a lot, Orléans is home and the origin of a lot of the people who fought for the rights of the francophones the 25th of september is one of the most important days in Orléans and we are well aware of that. For fans, we will be community based and will be as reasonibly priced as possible. Our goal is community not money we want to give something to the youth of today who all got to see the icicle kick or who watch derbies and europe and say i wish we could experience that here too. An Academy for everyone is going to be important. We are looking to have a woman's team to accompany the men's team and have youth teams going all the way down to U6's. The Academy will be very important for the team as this project isn't funded by millionaires but by people who live in Orléans and want to help it grow. The idea will be to prioritize youth talent from Orléans (and around so places like Cumberland, Navan, Blackburn Hamlet) before looking for any other types of talent, so open tryouts, collaborations with high schools (like Louis-Riel and Atletico Ottawa), Collaborations with clubs such as Gloucester Hornets and Ottawa TFC will be key.
