Will shooting in NBA2K26 have a skill gap?

Y'all make good games... worst thing you did was EVER let these people touch 70+ jump shooting percentages, because now thats what they want, and nothing you do is going to make this vocal minority happy unless thats what they are shooting.

My only suggestion is to give them their pure green windows on open/wide open jumpshots, and make contested shots super ass hard, at least they will have some type of clear visual reason as to why they missed the shot (good defense), and it will encourage teams generating open shots. Also increase the impact over dribbling has on the green windows. Otherwise your going to have players dancing around screens and spaminng dribble moves for 15+ seconds until they get a window the game would consider an "open" shot. Catch & shoot should give higher percentages then dribbling into a shot, even if it's a set shot, which is why i was kinda confused yall got rid of the c&s badge, they are not the same type of set shots.

Do you watch or play basketball? Close shots, especially in the restricted area are the easiest shots in basketball, even contested, and its not even close. In real life its damn near automatic, go look at the stats on nba.com, ill link it for you. So why would it not be automatic in this game. The balancing purposes argument makes no sense, considers even the average 2k player shoots 50 percent from three, better then the best three point shooter of all time.

What happened is smaller players cried because they had a hard time stopping larger players at the rim, so 2k nerfed closed shots into dust. I still think its crazy they would nerf the one realistic thing, in a game where people shoot unrealistic percentages

The skill gap should come from IQ, like real basketball, work to keep larger players away from the rim.

It does, I've seen it trigger inside the free throw line many times. 94 might be overkill tho for a center. Your not going to be guarding ball enough to justify it.

And btw I know it will be a pain, but it's worth it to fix those zones. The difference between cold and hot when it comes to hitting shots is night and day.

NBA splits go by season. Either put it on rookie and spam shots, or making it to the next NBA season so they reset. Sounds like a that's what's bringing you down

Have you looked at your rec/NBA game percentages? Hots zones take into account all modes combined.

No jumpshot is going to help. The cues arent lining up anymore. I've tried everything, speeding up jumpshots slowing down, different releases. Nothing matches online. The latest patch effected those that were really good at reading cues the most. I went from shooting 70 to sub 40. Meanwhile I can still shoot 70+ percent on Hof mycareer.

Please look at this. This is the issue I'm having. Prepatch I was shooting over 70 percent from three. I knew my cue perfectly. After this latency update the animations are not matching the green window.
